The house is furnished to a high standard throughout and is cleaned,thoroughly by the owners between lets.The dining kitchen is spacious and completely refurbished 3 years ago.It overlooks well-kept gardens and a path which gives access to just 2 other houses.The lounge has patio doors opening onto a small patio and private garden equipped with furniture in the warmer months The garden backs onto a cultivated woodland which ensures the presence of a wide variety of birdlife,including owls,& many squirrels which provide much entertainment!The high quality furniture ensures comfort and relaxation and the room contains large TV/video/CD/DVD with surround-sound & freeview.
Upstairs consists of a good size double bedroom with king-size bed,built-in wardrobes & TV/DVD,a single bedroom with storage and a lovely bathroom complete with jacuzzi.An extra single sofa bed can be accommodated in the double bedroom.
The house is ideally situated at the edge of the bustling village of Honley which has frequent buses linking it to Holmfirth,Huddersfield and other local villages.For those who enjoy walking,the village itself has an interesting history with many cobbled roads and nooks-and-crannies.Beyond the village are some walks ranging from easy to energetic - but all making the most of the beautiful scenery.
It is a 2 minute stroll into the village where you will find 2 small supermarkets,numerous shops including a cafe,jewellery shop,art gallery,P.O.,a bistro,an Italian Restaurant,a Chinese Restaurant, and a high quality English Restaurant .There are also numerous and varied takeaways in the village.The local library is always happy to provide internet access.
The local station has a regular service to Huddersfield and Sheffield; a picturesque route with a thriving city to explore at the end of it. Leeds,Manchester & Sheffield are all 25 miles away from this property.
All linen & heating are provided as well as a welcome tray on arrival. Towels available on request.

Huddersfield,the Holme and Colne Valleys are well known for their musical heritage and beautiful scenery spanning wild moorland,canals reflecting the industrial history of the region and soft,lush valleys. The Pennine Way and The CalderdaleWay are in close proximity to the cottage.
Huddersfield has a thriving theatre which hosts professional touring companies and the town has a multi-screen cinema,swimming pool & sports centre.
Many historic Houses can be found in the area,including Harewood House,Wentworth Castle,Nostell Priory and Fountains Abbey.
Visit the Yorkshire Dales (Emmerdale country),the Yorkshire Moors (Heartbeat country) or the seaside towns of Whitby,Scarborough.Filey Robin Hood's Bay and many more.
The Holmfirth / Honley area
Visit the areas where many TV programmes have been filmed;you may even witness scenes of Summer Wine being filmed.
Holmfirth has a wide variety of pubs,restaurant & cafes as well as weekly markets - farmers/craft etc.It also has an annual folk festival of some renown.
Huddersfield's Contemporary Music Festival is held in November & is Internationally regarded.
A short,pleasant drive away is the Yorkshire Sculpture Park at Bretton Hall which boasts works by internationally regarded artists as well as high quality exhibitions and a very good restaurant.
