"Amazing property in a gorgeous location"
I was worries about organising such a big event, my twin sister is getting married so we hired Oakland's & Holmesdale Cottage for her hen weekend this was just what she wanted all our family friends in one place with drinks, food and lots of laughs. Andrew and Faye made organising this weekend so much easier it was so straight forward the properties are amazing Oaklands wowed all the party and many will look to book when organising family holidays/weekends away so I felt so proud to have found such a gorgeous property. The rooms were spacious the games room was a great touch, my sister loved the hot tub as did everyone else :-). Holmfirth was only a short walk away with great views. I can't fault this property. Great time had by everyone thank you holmfirth holiday homes for making my sisters hen weekend a memorable one :-)

"Lovely House and Lovely setting!"
We were a group of 10 - 2 families with young adult 'kids'! We stayed for a long weekend in January. The house itself was really lovely, the kitchen was stunning and very well equipped. The kids enjoyed the hot tub on a cold January night! The area too is stunning. We particularly enjoyed our visit to Holmfirth Vineyards and our walk around Digley Reservoir. The rest of the time we stayed in - eating, drinking, having fun in the games room and generally enjoying each others company in fab surroundings!

"We enjoyed a very happy holiday in what was an ideal family house catering for all ages."
This was our first stay in Holmfirth and we weren't quite prepared for the steep hills! The house was an excellent family house of a good standard, interesting in layout in that it enabled each part of the extended family to have their own section, useful when there were 4 children (age range 7-18months!) and the children were well catered for with a games room and trampoline. There were lots of steps as the house is set on a hillside.
It is an excellent centre - Huddersfield and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park were highlights - and the countryside and villages around are well worth a visit. Holmfirth itself has lots to offer beside the 'Summer Wine' attractions.
We had 2 dogs but it was quite difficult to find walks for them nearby - we would have liked some information about this. However, we all enjoyed a happy, comfortable stay at Oaklands.

Great house, lovely interior and best of all the fantastic family dining kitchen that we spent most of the weekend in!! Could maybe do with better outdoor space but we all loved it and would go back.
