“Küstenschwalbe” (coast swallow or arctic tern)

The luxurious bungalow "Coast Swallow" is situated in a new tourist district of the seaside resort Hohwacht (Baltic Sea) and is only about 400 meters away from the sandy beach.

The house with a max. occupancy of 6 people offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and a Wi-Fi connection, a fireplace and a small sauna. The whole house is equipped with underfloor heating, external blinds, mosquito net before the children's bedroom and 3 LCD TVs in the bedrooms and 1 big LED TV in the living room. In the house there is also an electronic ventilation system (no air conditioning) in order to avoid mould formation and to produce clear air for allergy sufferers. The holiday bungalow has a heat pump and a geothermal system, i.e. the (floor) heating and hot water are produced in an environmentally friendly and self-supplying procedure (no gas heating).

A supermarket is about 400m away from the house and within walking distance. The nearby golf course with about 7 ha and about 150 tees is about 4 km away.

Lage der Gemeinde Hohwacht (Ostsee) im Kreis Plön

Hohwacht (Ostsee) ist eine Gemeinde im Kreis Plön in Schleswig-Holstein. Sie besteht aus den Ortschaften Haßberg, Hohwacht, Neudorf, Niedermühle und Schmiedendorf.

Der Ortsname wurde 1557 als „Hohenwacht“ erstmals erwähnt.

Seine ursprüngliche Bedeutung als Hafen hat Hohwacht Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts aufgrund der neu gebauten Bahnstrecke Malente-Gremsmühlen–Lütjenburg zwischen Malente und dem sechs Kilometer von Hohwacht entfernten Lütjenburg[2] verloren, mit der jedoch auch erste Erholungssuchende aus den Städten kamen, vor allem nach Haßberg, wo ein erstes Kurzentrum entstand, das jedoch auf Betreiben des Gutes Neudorf wieder stillgelegt wurde. Unmittelbar nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wurde Hohwacht das Ziel von Künstlern um den Maler Karl Schmidt-Rottluff und seine Biografin Rosa Schapire mit Bernhard Hoetger, Curt Stoermer und Heinrich Vogeler. Schmidt-Rottluff hielt Hohwacht als Urlaubsdomizil zunächst weiter die Treue, eine Künstlerkolonie wurde Hohwacht jedoch nicht.

1986 erhielt Hohwacht den Titel Ostseeheilbad.

Sehenswert sind, direkt im Ort in den Dünen, die in ihrer Ursprünglichkeit in Deutschland sonst nirgendwo mehr erhaltenen Badehütten.
