The Wild Olive Tree Camp
from £27 /night help
Tented camp | 15 bedrooms | sleeps 30
The camp is beautifully situated on a dry river bed shaded by big trees. The 15 tents each have a bathroom ensuite with hold and cold water. A lovely boma - dining area covered by a thatch roof with wood burning pizza ovens provides a unique dining experience. As it is located on The Orpen Kruger Park Gate you can be the first to enter the Kruger park or the last to leave; as if you stay in the actual Park! But we also provide private game drives with an experienced guide if you want to stay away from the big crowds! The Mnisi Community is in charge and this highly successful operation also allows you to listen to their stories around the fire or make a trip into this community. An affordable big 5 experience in a safe environment as it is fenced of from the Kruger Park but still ideal to make walks and enjoy he birdlife and the solitude of the wind blowing through the trees.

The Limpopo Province region
The region is renowned for its game reserves and big 5 experiences. (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo)The camp is nestled between the famous Timbavatie, Manyeleti and Kruger Park regions with direct access into the latter two. But also the ideal hub for visiting the Blyde River Canyon, the famous endangered species centre (Kapama cheetah) or the wildlife rehabilitation centre Moholoholo. If you wish to visit a town, Hoedspruit is close by where you can find a number of great restaurants such as Sleepers or go shopping in one of the malls. Eastgate Airport is 45 minutes away making it an easy drive or perfect location for the start of your holliday in The Kruger Park region.
The Kruger Park Orpen Gate, where the camp is situated, is a quiet gate with a great atmosphere and even from the camp you can hear the elephants, lions and hyenas.
The area around the camp is the typical rolling bushveld with dense bush, open savannah and big trees. During winter it hardly ever rains but days are pleasant whilst the evenings can be cold. During the summer the days can be hot but the breeze in the evening and the possible rains can cool the days and evenings down. Temperatures in that period hardly drop below 20 degrees C.

Thank you so much! We are looking into installing fans and chargers specifically for phones. It's one of those items you only realise when people like yourselves are willing to give honest feedback. Thanks again!
