The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise Coast, with its sunny warm climate, is noted for its beautiful scenery and fine beaches. It is an area rich in nature and history.
Within easy reach (15 minutes by bus) is the main town of Fethiye, famed for its ancient Lycian rock tombs . Further away, but well worth visiting, is Dalyan, renowned for its unspoilt sandy beach, a breeding ground for loggerhead turtles and the mud baths.
Trips are also available locally to the magnificent Saklikent Gorge and the archaeological site at Xanthos. The islands and bays can be reached by boat, with a chance to swim in the clear blue sea.
Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Hisaronu boast a thriving nightlife, with many restaurants and bars, plus shopping centres and a post office. At any time of day or night, you will be able to find great food here!
Fethiye is only 10 minutes from the Ovacik area by bus. Buses there run approximately every five minutes.
Also nearby is Oludeniz. For an idea of this spectacularly beautiful area, one of Turkey's greatest attractions, search for "The Blue Lagoon" on Google!
