About the home

Grena F1 has spectacular mountain views and is in a fantastic location. Perfectly suited for families or group holidays the villa is well equipped on a small, well maintained complex with two swimming pools, two splash pools and an on-site bar.

Grena is in walking distance of local amenities and Hisaronu town. On the walk into town there are many restaurants, bars and shops but, if you don't fancy walking why not hop on a local bus (Dolmus) or take a ride in a taxi, there are always plenty around!

Grena F1 is on four floors, fully air-conditioned with mosquito nets at all windows. It is individually designed with luxurious fixtures and fittings hand made by local craftsmen, characteristic of Turkish tradition. All floors and stairways are designed with extravagant marble and granite stone finishes, the stairs have wrought iron handrails leading to fully furnished double and twin rooms. It has the benefit of a traditional barbecue on an open terrace which overlooks the pool area with a spectacular mountain view.

First Floor - on this floor there is a double room with a wardrobe, bedside tables and a vanity unit. There are doors which lead to a good sized balcony which overlooks the pool. When leaving this room there is a bathroom to the left and to the right a twin-room with en suite bathroom, bedside tables, vanity unit, wardrobe and balcony which looks out of the back of the villa and is perfect for catching the late afternoon sun and the beautiful sunsets. Ground Floor - on this floor is the open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen area has a fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine along with plenty of cupboard space. The dining area has a glass-topped table with six chairs. The lounge area has two sofas (one is a sofa bed) a coffee table, TV, DVD player and satellite TV. The Basement - again a nice spacious area with one double room and one single room both have wardrobes, bedside tables and vanity units. There is also a bathroom on this floor. Under the stairs there is plenty of space to store suitcases etc. during your stay.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This stretch of the Turkish coastline is known as the Turkish Riviera or Turquoise Coast and stretches from Fethiye in the west right through to the Syrian border in the east. Without doubt one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline anywhere in the Mediterranean. The area from Fethiye to Kemer is known as Lycia and has Turkey's most dramatic coastline with mountains falling away into crystal clear seas.

Summer temperatures average 30 - 40 °C with a winter average of 15 °C. Rainfall is mainly during the months from December to February. The village of Hisaronu is located on a plateau 1,000 ft above sea level under mount Babadag (father mountain). All around there are magnificent views of pine clad mountains. During the summer months there is usually a cooling breeze coming up from the sea. Fethiye the main market town of the area is about 7 kms and the famous beach at Oludeniz is about 4 kms from the village. Rhodes is about 80 kms by sea from Fethiye

The area around Fethiye is one of the most beautiful, offering a perfect mix of beach resorts, curios, boat/gulet excursions and fantastic mountain scenery. From Fethiye the main road to Ovacik/Hisaronu, climbs up through pine-forest clad hills to the Ovacik/Hisaronu plateau at 1000ft above sea level.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Hisaronu - once a sleepy village in the mountains, Hisaronu is now one of Turkey's top holiday destinations! Close to Olu Deniz the resort is largely unspoilt and surrounded by breathtaking beauty, with stunning mountain backdrops and pine clad forests. Hisaronu has an irresistible charm all of its own, with its many shops, bars and restaurants offering culinary delights, both Turkish and International cuisine, as well as its bustling weekly market which sells just about everything, the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. Strict conservation ensures buildings are kept to a 2 storey maximum.

Ovacik - Just above Oludeniz amongst the pines on the lower slopes of Babadag the village of Ovacik straddles the mountain road between Fethiye and Oludeniz. It`s convenient situation, clear air, quiet country trails and excellent accommodation make it an ideal base for enjoying all the diverse aspects of this captivating area. Ovacik is good alternative to Hisaronu village - if you are looking for a more private & relaxing holiday.

Oludeniz - offers one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey, with a magnificent crescent of pale sand fringing a clear , pollution-free lagoon of turquoise-blue. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the lagoon is perfect for swimming and watersports.

Fethiye - once the Lycian settlement of Telmessos, Fethiye is a lively port and market town where Turkish life and tourism exist side by side. Along the pretty waterfront you can watch the traditional wooden gullets, motor launches and fishing boats.
