About the home

This spacious detached Villa is set in a stunning location overlooking the magnificent Babadag mountains. Constructed to high standards to ensure your stay in Ovacik is a memorable one. The villa has benefit of a large pool and children's pool with free sunbeds and parasols. With its own terrace and upper floor balconies it makes it a wonderful place to relax, unwind and get that perfect tan!

Hisaronu is a 15 minute walk away or a 4 minute taxi ride where you can find plenty to do at night, the wonderful beaches and Blue Lagoon of Olu Deniz are just 10 minutes by Taxi. Taxis can be found at the top of the main road, or they will pick you up from your door, look in our guest information pack for numbers.

Villa was new in 2009 offering high quality accommodation and is finished to a very high standard.
Main entrance from road side, parking adjacent, walking through the hall, shower/toilet room on right. Moving into lounge diner, washing machine is located in cupboard under the stairs. Looking right toward the high quality fully fitted kitchen you will see spacious work top and an abundance of cupboards. Integrated oven and hob, microwave and toaster. Under worktop dishwasher, free standing larder fridge/freezer.

Seating at large dining table for 6. Lounge has bed settee, TV and DVD. 2 patio doors lead out to ground floor terrace which is directly in front of the pool.

Upstairs there are 2 twin rooms, a main bathroom, a master bedroom which has en suite. All bedrooms have balconies and have great views of the mountain ranges.

Large Travel cot (photographs on request).

The bedrooms and the lounge/dining room have the benefit of air conditioning, all floors are constructed with cooling tiled floors.

The mountain view complex is maintained to a high standard and provides a safe and carefree environment for your family holiday. The complex has 24 hour security.

The terrace offers shade for little ones, and is an ideal place to dine in the evening.

Large grassed areas surround the villa where children can play.

Guests staying in the villa may also use all of the facilities and amenities at the 4* Orka Hotel, which is only a short stroll up the road and through the back gate. These include: Fitness centre,Turkish baths, Children's club with mini disco, Evening entertainment and theme nights, Restaurant and snack bar, Cocktail and poolside bars, 3 swimming pools, one indoor, one with a children's water slide. The staff at Orka will make your stay one you will not forget, nothing is too much trouble for them.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

If you are visiting Turkey for the first time you are in for a wonderful surprise, you will be truly amazed by some of the most dramatic scenery Europe has to offer. Sparkling turquoise seas, endless golden sun kissed beaches, bathed in sunshine for nearly 300 days a year and local Turkish hospitality that is second to none. If you are lucky you will see Loggerhead Turtles basking in the sun which will be topic of conversation for years to come.

Want more from your holiday in Turkey than sun and beautiful beaches? The Turquoise Coast has plenty of activities on offer. For those feeling adventurous Turkey has become the number one destination for paragliding enthusiasts and Oludeniz on the Turquoise Coast is the resort most head for. Tandem flights are offered at Oludeniz, so you don't need to be a paraglider pilot to enjoy this unique experience.

Turkey is also a paradise for walkers, the Lycian way is a 509 km way-marked footpath around the coast and mountains, starting from Fethiye and finishing in Antalya and is one of the most popular routes for walking holidays.

High in the mountains above Fethiye, rushing torrents of icy cold water cut a narrow gorge through the mountains over thousands of years, creating Saklikent Gorge. A natural wonder, the resulting canyon is 300 metres deep and 18 kilometres long and offers visitors one of the most breathtaking excursions in all of Turkey. Saklikent Gorge has walls reaching a height of 300 metres and is navigateable for the first 18 kilometres. Saklikent in Turkish means "Hidden City".. The walls are so high that they cut out most of the sunlight and the fresh spring waters that flow through are freezing cold!. A cool refuge on hot summer days, Saklikent Gorge is a favourite picnic spot where rustic restaurants overhanging the river serve delicious fresh trout and other local delicacies. You may reach Saklikent, 31 miles (50 km) to Fethiye, by car or with one of the tours organised from Oludeniz- Fethiye.

Fethiye is an ancient Lycian town with relics dating back to the 4th century BC and is reputed to have been visited by Alexander the Great. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Taurus Mountains and surrounded by a beautiful, island-strewn bay, the town is now a vibrant holiday destination. The picturesque old quarter is packed with bazaar-style shops, restaurants and bars. A wide range of boat trips are available at the nearby waterfront. On the approach from Hisaronu you will see impressive rock tombs carved into the hillside above the town. The Tomb of Amyntas dates from around 350 BC and has a Greek inscription over the entrance, which resembles the front of a classical temple. You also get a tremendous panoramic views of the bay from here!
From Fethiye catch a dolmus and explore the surrounding villages. Kayakoy the ghost village is well worth a visit. There is a ski resort near Dalaman and there are now flights all through the winter to Dalaman. There is a golf course near Dalaman which opened in 2008.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Hisaronou is about a 15 minute walk away. There are shops, vibrant bars, restaurants and a lively night life. There is also a small fair if you feel the need to get on the dodgems before you go back to the villa. Monday is market day, worth a visit. Numerous places to book coach trips, plenty of cash machines which are easy to use and a post office. The local Mosque towers above the shops and lets you know its there with its broadcasted chanting every few hours. Near the Mosque you can find Azda!! Also in Hisaronu you can find Go-Karting and Microlite flights if you want some speed thrills.

There are many good restaurants in Hisaronu. One that is highly recommended is Butterflies, it offers a great meal that is reasonably priced, Ogan will give you a special welcome if you say you are staying at Mountain View!

On Ovacik main road (5 min walk from the villa) there are many good restaurants also. Friar Tucks is a fun place, food is well priced and if you are lucky (or not) you will be pulled up to dance with the local belly dancer. At Friar Tucks there is free playstation and pool to keep the children happy. Along the main road there are many supermarkets and shops, you can also find many barber shops which seem to be everywhere. Turkish barbers are out of this world, you can have an excellent shave, hair cut and facial massage. Look out for Rose ladies hairdresser on the main road, where the ladies can get their hair done, have nails done and have a nice massage.....all very cheap.

In Olu Deniz there is a beautiful beach and the world famous Blue Lagoon, boat trips and various water sports are available. Paragliding from the Babadag Mountain is recommended for the adventurous. Olu Deniz also boasts a wealth of shops selling leather, jewellery and clothes also lively bars and restaurants.

Billy's beach on the lagoon is also worth a visit, the sea at Billy's Is like having a hot bath, sand is soft and children-friendly. Billy's offers good quality home made food, plenty of Efes and ice creams. You can hire pedaloes which cost 10 lira for an hour.

We had a great time and were so impressed with the villa, pool and all the facilities. The maids, general gardener (technician) and Steve (Bar manager) at Orka Hotel were fantastic. They kept the villa and its facilities spotless and Steve kept us busy with entertainment at the hotel. The weather was great and will be considering re-booking in the future.

Everything from the villa to the service from the Orka staff was excellent-in fact, the best we have ever experienced!! Your villa is beautiful and was perfect for our first family holiday. Great location and we practically had the pool to ourselves for most of the week. Your info pack was extremely useful-thanks for all your help. My mother and father-in-law who came with us loved it too.
