About the home

Modern 3 bedroomed villa set in private garden with own pool. Situated in Ovacik between the harbour town of Fethiye and Hisaronu, and within easy reach of Dalaman Airport. Quiet, with mountain views and enjoying cooling sea breezes during the hot summer months.

An ideal location for exploring this beautiful area of Turkey's Turquoise Coast; whether you are looking for an active or more restful holiday. There are historic sites to visit, varied excursions, and plenty of activities such as watersports, horse riding, paragliding etc. Local clubs, bars and restaurants offer evening entertainment. Easy to get around by dolmus (local bus), or hired car.

Kitchen, living/dining room, 2 double bedrooms each with small balcony, and one single bedroom.
All bedrooms have wardrobes and air-conditioning units. Also, there are window nets at one window in each bedroom so you can take advantage of any cooling night breezes rather than air-conditioning if you prefer.
Three shower rooms, one en-suite.
Clean bed linen and towels provided weekly.
Villa cleaned weekly.

The Management Company offer a "Meet & Greet" service, and supply an information pack containing general information and 24 hour emergency contact numbers. More detailed information can be obtained by visiting their Fethiye office, and assistance given with arranging car hire and booking excursions. Depending on availability, a visit can be booked from an English speaking 'rep' to give further information and assistance.

At additional cost if required, transfers to and from Dalaman Airport, or a welcome hamper containing basic food necessities, can be arranged.

15% deposit to secure booking, balance of 85% to be paid 4 weeks before arrival date.
We can accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in GBP.

Refundable deposit of £100 against damage/breakages required with balance payment; to be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

No smoking in villa except on balconies.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This reqion is on the south west coast of Turkey, called the Turquoise Coast. You will find it a very interesting and friendly area to visit. The scenery guarantees quality 'holiday snaps'; forest clad mountains, wonderful beaches and coves.

July and August are the hottest months with temperatures of 36/37 or higher, May, June and September are a little cooler with temperatures around 29 to 33C.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Ovacik is close to Fethiye, but being higher up benefits from cool breezes in the hot summer months. Ovacik, Hisaronu and Fethiye, are all interesting to visit. Close by is Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon), a really famous 3 km long beach.

For history lovers the area has many interesting sites to visit, including the famous ancient city of Ephesus, and Tlos one of the oldest and most beautiful Lycian cities.

Local markets will be of interest. Fethiye is a busy market town with harbour and marina, and a market every Tuesday. In August there is a festival in Hisaronu, music and street shows etc.

Walkers and cyclists will enjoy exploring the area at a slower pace, and of course travelling by local bus (dolmus) or hired car is easy.

On a "water theme", you can cruise around nearby islands, visit Rhodes (only 90 minutes away), take a river boat trip to see ancient Lycian rock tombs, a breeding area for Loggerhead Turtles, and thermal spring mud baths. Visit the island of Sovalye, where there are no cars, for a really tranquil day walking through pine forests and exploring the coastline.

For the energetic there is much to do: canoeing, rafting, scuba diving and snorkelling, jeep safari, horse riding and paragliding. The beautiful Oludeniz beach is only 4 km from the villa, and in the summer local buses (dolmus) run from Ovacik to the beach every 10 minutes.

For the younger family there is also the fun of the Aquapark at the Hotel Grand Ucel in Ovacik which is open to non-residents, and costs 25YTL per adult, 15YTL per child and 0-6 years free.

Dalaman is the nearest airport, and many budget airlines fly there from the UK.

Transport to/from the airport is easy. We can assist with arrangements for your collection from the airport and transfer to the villa: one way air-conditioned private car £35, or air-conditioned minibus £55 (and reverse journey at the end of your holiday). The journey by car takes about 40 minutes in the daytime, and of course less at night. We can also supply useful contact details so that you can arrange your car hire from the UK before you leave.
As you will have seen from the website, there is a 'Meet & Greet' service on arrival at the villa.
