The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Torquoise/Lycian coastline has stunning scenery with mountains rising from superb sandy beaches, the most famous of which is the Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz, the most photographed beach in Turkey. The Lycian Way has hundreds of miles of coastal walks which are accessed quite close to Ovacik. The area has an abundance of forest's as well as many ancient historic sites, well worth a visit. The climate is very hot in the summer months and as Ovacik is some 1500 metres above sea level, it benefits from cool breezes which can be very welcoming at the end of a hot summer day.
Hisaronu whilst compact offers a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants to suit every taste, and Turkey still remains great value for money compared with most European holiday resorts. It is possible to get everything in the village, which has a good supermarket (called Azda, would you believe!) , a post office, several cash machines, and a good local market on Monday.
As a holiday base it excels, surrounded on three sides by mountains and pine forest it is an excellent location for walking, and offers many facilities for the more active including jeep safari's, pony trekking, quad biking and parascending. The world famous beach at Olu Deniz can be reached by a walk through the forest or by Dolmus in ten minutes. Kayaköy is fifteen minutes away and the bustling port town of Fethiye only twenty minutes away.
Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Set in quiet Ovacik, The Pinara complex consists of 50 apartments and is built around a huge 3,000 sqft swimming pool with extensive well kept landscaped gardens offering plenty of room to swim, sunbath, or simply relax. Ovacik is set above the town of Hisaronu (10 min downhill stroll away). Hisaronu is known for lively nightlife, lots of restaurants as well as many shops to satisfy any retail therapy needs. The apartment has the most spectacular panoramic views, this certainly is a place of stunning natural beauty and lies near the base of Mount Babadag, just a short bus ride away from Oludeniz, Kaya and the harbour town of Fethiye.
Hisaronu offers water parks and much more for all age groups and is an ideal family destination.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman from most UK airports. You will be greeted by your driver displaying a pager board with your name ready to transfer you to the apartment. Your transfer journey will take approx 50 minuites.
