There are plenty restaurants, bars and pubs in Ovacik & Hisaronu such as fast food, Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Mexican. Hisaronu is also offering plenty shopping options also many night clubs are operating until early mornings. Ovacik has the World's second highest paragliding centre which attracts so many tourists who are wishing to experience one of the most unforgettable journey on their holiday.
Blue Lagoon has world's one of the most famous beaches with a beautiful scenery of the green mountains, hills and sea. Residents can access to various boat trips to the Butterfly Valley, 12 islands and various small bays from this beach. There are also many water sports services provided by the registered companies. If you wish to experience a scuba diving then you will be in the right location.
Fethiye is the main town at this region which offers various shops and local life style. There is a very long marina with restaurants, cafes, parks, children play areas, etc. If you wish to experience the historical places then you may visit Tlos Antique City, Lycia King Tombs, Ephesus or you may wish to visit beautiful Dalyan (Turtle Beach), natural mud bath, Sakilkent Canyon or Grand Market on Tuesdays in Fethiye Town.
Hope to see you soon.
The last 10 years have seen the once sleepy farming villages of Hisaronu and Ovacik spring to life and become thriving summer resorts from April to November each year. Due to protection orders placed on the nearby bay of Oludeniz, recent years have seen both villages grow rapidly to accommodate the increasing demands for hotels, nightlife and residential villas and apartments near to the famous lagoon.
Just a 5 minute bus ride from Oludeniz beach, Hisaronu is the liveliest resort in Fethiye with a stunning hill top location and a cooling mountain breeze throughout the long hot summers. Offering residential lets, hotels, restaurants, bars and a 24/7 atmosphere, it is now a party town with a wealth of accommodation choices suiting all tastes and budgets.
Despite its rapid development Hisaronu still retains a Turkish feel with many of the restaurants and bars serving up traditional dishes and hospitality. Prices of food, shopping and accommodation tend to be cheaper in Hisaronu than on the beach, and the transport links to Oludeniz, Fethiye and the traditional village of Kayakoy are excellent.
Hisaronu will suit those looking to stay self-catering or wishing to be within easy walking distance to the centre of things. Most restaurants, shops and bars are located on the one long main central drag with the hotels located on the few small streets that surround it. Decidedly cheaper than the beach, many hotels offer great deals early and late season and it's a wonderful and affordable base for anyone visiting the region.
Hisaronu is a small resort but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in atmosphere! The resort itself is fairly quiet and laid back during the day with most visitors tending to stay around their hotel pools, haggle for souvenirs in one of the shops, venture out of town on an excursion, or catch a dolmus (local bus) to the beach. It's after dark that Hisaronu shows its true colours with all manner of activities on offer; enjoy a ride on the Pirate Ship or Dodgems in Luna Park, head along to watch the local drag show 'Talk of the Town', have your caricature drawn by a local street artist, race against a friend in a go-kart, or simply watch the world go by over a few drinks and a spot of dancing in a bar.
Hisaronu is a hill top resort so has no beach, the closest beaches are in Oludeniz. Dolmus (bus) services run every few minutes from Hisaronu to Oludeniz from the main central shopping street, cost a few lira, and are easily caught from the bus stops or by simply waving a passing one down.
