Home description
Karia is a brand new complex built by Hanel Houses. Recognised as one of the biggest developers in Turkey, the quality of the apartments comes as no surprise. It is located at the east side of hisaronu centre, approximately 1 minute walk from the main strip. This provides easy access to the town, whilst affording quietness at night. The complex has a swimming pool and sunloungers, for exclusive use by residents. The apartment is one of 10, which make up the complex and has been furnished to meet all of your needs, including air-conditioning throughout. The complex also benefits from 24 hour service.. There is a local bus service to the beach at Oludeniz or the market town of Fethyie, which run every 5 or 10 minutes. Free transport to one of the private beaches around the famous blue lagoon can be arranged.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Hisaronu it located on a plateau a couple of kilometres above the famous Oludeniz beach, with its blue lagoon. Dolmuses run every 5 minutes. The plateau itself is very flat and easy on the legs. The area is served by many restaurants and bars, catering for all tastes and budgets. A typical 3 course meal comes in at less than £10. (Some places £5 (Native Hotel, good choice and quality)). There are also a number of Chinese and indian restaurants where you can eat as much as you like for £6 including wine. There are many Turkish restaruants serving typical fayre. The lamb dishs are a must. A large beer is approximately a pound, or less (subject to exchange rate). Generally the cost of living is half the price of UK. Hisaronu has an abundance of shops selling everything from Turkish artifacts to fake designer gear. There is also a weekly market on Monday. Leave plenty of room in your suitcases.
Hisaronu area
The main town of Fethyie with its harbour and seafront is 15 minutes away by dolmus. The town has a fish market where you can buy your seafood fresh and have it cooked and served by one of the many restaurants within the courtyard for 3 Lira (£1), the price even includes salad and garlic bread. The harbour has boat trips to all the islands including Rhodes. There are two aqua parks, one in Ovacik (Closest and best, freshwater) and one in Calis (Fethiye) the aqua park is a great day out for the kids (of all ages)? There are numerous trips / excursions that can be had, including the Dalyan river mud baths, Saklikent gorge, the ancient roman ruined city of Ephesus, and the calcium mountains and spas of Pamukale. For those who enjoy walking and culture the deserted Greek village of Kayakoy is at the base of the plateau (approx 2km, also served by bus). The original Greek occupants were re-patriated to Greece in the 1920s and the the upper parts of the village have remained unoccupied ever since. The centre of the Kayakoy boasts several traditional Turkish restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. There are many coves and beaches, which can be reached via the tracks in the pine forest. The best way to see this is via a horse riding trip (£8-10 each)
For the more adventerous there is para gliding from Mount Babadag, watersports, including diving or snorkling. 4 x 4 safaries, quad biking, white water rafting and many more mad cap sports.
Oludeniz is the most photographed beach in the tourist industry and can be found on the front cover of most brochures. What they don't show are the many, even more spectacular, private beaches surrounding the Blue lagoon. These beaches and the lagoon can be accessed for a small fee. All have beach bars and places to eat. However if you wish to take your own picnic, feel free! Arrangements can be made at some beaches, where the transport picks you up takes you there and back free of charge (Enquire when booking). The bars and restaruants of Olu Deniz come alive at night and provide an excellent alternative night out. The Dolmuses run until the early hours. If you miss those a taxi would set you back £5 or 6 for up to 4.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman airport. Transfers can be obtained from your tour operator. Cost is approximately £20 per person. The problem with operator transfers are that you have to wait until all passengers have cleared customs and you have to drop off at other resorts. Private transfers can be arranged, total cost £60 return, for up to four passengers (£20 each per additional passenger). The transport meets you at the airport and drops you off at the door.

Guestbook
Dear Steve and Sandra
We have just as you know returned from holiday, just unpacked and got the washing machine on, and about to cook my first meal in a fortnight. We had a wonderful holiday, weather was great and we loved Hisaronu, in fact we think it is the nicest resort that we have been in, and it was the only resort that we had not visited before. Your apartment was first class, home from home, Charlie was very impressed at the apartment and the whole complex, all the marble around the pool area and the entire complex, was very well finished. The area was very quiet at night, so we didn't lose any sleep at night.
In fact, for the first time in 14 years, from the first week he wanted to come back next year. We told quite a few people about how pleased we were with everything, and one couple in particular told our Restaurateur that they hoped to come there next year. She came from the Bristol area, and in case she was booking for the same time of year, we would like to get our oar in first, as we would like to book for approx the same fortnight. We breed Rhea, peafowl, and pheasants, and this time of year is really the only time that we can come away, so should there be an enquiry for that time, would you think of us please, and let us know. There was a lot of practice going on for the paragliding world championship, so it was extremely interesting, so, also for that reason we would like to be there when that is on again.
Charlie went up!! Loved it, and asked his pilot re the date for next year's championship, but he did not know yet, told him to look it up on the web. We went for dinner every night, as did the Bristol ladies , to Ali at El Ninos, and we tried most things on his menu and enjoyed every one.
Many Thanks again
Bernadette (Oct 07)

Just a quick note to say what a great time we had at the apartment last week, with Craig and Nicola.
We really loved the place and felt quite at home with everything we could possibly need in the apartment. We'll certainly recommend the place to friends. The location is fantastic, so quiet, yet close to everything; the site staff were extremely friendly and helpful too and the grounds were nice to relax in. Cold pool, but then ok for us hardy types. Craig and I got a swim every day.
Even the transfers were spot on - on time and courteous. In fact the whole holiday ran like smooth clockwork.
Thanks for a great holiday.
Best regards
Chris and Marilyn. (Oct 2006)
Steve and Sandra What a brilliant time we had in your apartment, the transfers went smooth, it was very well organised, thanks to you. We meet up with our friends and made some new ones. We tried a few of the cafes / restaurants you suggested, we liked ready steady cook the best, for breakfast, lunch, and the odd evening meal. We did a few boat trips, and made another visit to the mud baths. Aygun was not in when the taxi came for us to go to airport, so the driver said to leave the keys with him and he would take them to the office, I did because I didn't know what else to do, hope I did the right thing? I can't praise your apartment enough, very comfortable, everything you need, lovely pool. Hope we can use it again next year! looking for flights now.

Steve Got back this morning had a great holiday. Your apartment is brilliant and was a joy to return to at the end of each day. We always enjoy our holidays in Turkey, but the accommodation is always very basic and it can be hard trying to relax between being out for the day and getting ready for the evening. Having your apartment to go back to, with all its facilities, was wonderful and enhanced the holiday immensely. I would and will recommend your apartment to anyone who is interested in going to Turkey for a holiday.
Thanks
Ian and kirstie Moffatt
Dear Steve and Sandra
Just a short note to let you know what a fantastic time we had. Hisaronu is a wonderful place, with the most charming people I've ever met. The apartment was the icing on the cake and provided for everything. The location was ideal for all activities and the complex was a wonderful place to chill out. Roll on July.
Many thanks
Jane, Ken. Alison and Sam
PS please pass on our regards to Aygun and Nugen.
Steve and Sandra
Meant to contact you as we got back (Work got in the way). The holiday was fantastic and lived up to everything you said about the place. One thing did exceeded everything! The apartment. The location could not have been better. The facilities provided for our every need and Aygun an Nugen couldn't do enough. The pool is a fantastic asset and could easily be classed a private. We will definitely be back next year (Jane's trying to sort out her dates). Thanks again and will be in touch.
Dave and Jane
