This is a lovely villa 4 bedroom villa, light and airy situated in Ovacik, overlooking the valley with lovely valley and mountain views

It has been furnished to a high standard.

Lydae villa has four bedrooms making it ideal for a large family or friends holidaying together. As there is a double bedroom, bathroom, seperate lounge and kitchenette on the ground floor with doors opening to the terrace, pool and garden.

On the first floor is a large lounge and terrace with built in BBQ, a nice size kitchen, upstairs on the 2nd floor are 3 further bedrooms one en-suite bathroom and double bed, two with twin beds.

The villa has lovely outdoor living space with nice terraces from the bedrooms. Nice private garden and good size private swimming pool.

The villa stands on 3 levels:

The Ground Floor:- has a living area with small kitchen and a double bedroom and bathroom. Patio doors lead to the terrace, garden and pool. Internal door also to the stairs leading to the main room of the villa.

Middle Floor: - has a large living area open plan to dining area and large fitted kitchen, with cooker, hob, fridge freezer, microwave and lots of worktop. Open fire place, TV & DVD. Dining table and chairs. Doors leading to upper balcony. Another door leading to outside seating with table and chairs and brick built BBQ, external stairs leading to terrace, garden and pool.

Top Floor : - has three bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms one with balcony, 1 double bedroom with en-suite, shower & wc. Family bathroom

Further details outdoors:
The villa stands on the upper side of Ovacik and is a 10 minute walk to local shops bars and restaurants and a 30 min walk into the centre of Hisaronu. Lovely views of the valley and mountains.

This villa would not be recommend with anyone with mobility problems unless a car is being hired.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Organised excursions are available such as a trip to Dalyan to see the famous Lycian Rock Tombs, perhaps bathe in the sulphur mud baths or indulge in a boat trip to Butterfly Valley. As well as the usual waterspouts at the beach, other activities have been developed in the area such as mountain biking, quad biking, horse riding and for the really adventurous paragliding at Olu Deniz giving you stunning views over the lagoon.

The area is also wonderful for walking and we recommend a stroll from Hisaronu or Ovacik to the ghost village of Kayakoy, a village abandoned by the Greeks with over 3,000 uninhabited houses.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Hisaronu and Ovacik lie close by in the hills behind Olu Deniz, surrounded by pine forests and beautiful countryside. These resorts have grown from the popularity of Olu Deniz itself, as when the conservation area made it impossible to build more hotels and apartments by the sea, the hillside villages within easy reach of the beach started to grow. Both resorts are now incredibly popular with British guests with many holidaymakers deciding to settle in the area and there is a wide selection of restaurants, bars and pubs to cater for their tastes.
Hisaronu is the busier of the two villages and most restaurants, shops and bars are centred around one main street, whilst at the top of the village is a weekly market where it can be great fun choosing unusual gifts for those back home.

Ovacik is altogether quieter and more rural with splendid views of the surrounding pine clad mountains. The air here is usually cooler and fresher than at sea level, which can be very welcome at the height of the summer.
Whichever resort you choose, getting between them is very easy as dolmus minibuses run between all three resorts. Alternatively you can walk between the centre of Hisaronu and Ovacik in about 15 minutes.

Olu Deniz is one of the most photographed resorts in Turkey and over the years has probably featured on more holiday brochure covers than anywhere else in the world. Wisely, when Turkish tourism was in its infancy the local authorities realised how precious this place was and made it a conservation area, forever protecting the stunning shoreline and village from over development.

The village resort is snuggled behind a curved strip of beach that forms an almost complete circle around a natural blue lagoon. Because of the limits on development all the accommodation in Olu Deniz are inland but within easy reach of the resort centre and the fabulous beach. Even though the beach is part of the conservation area there are areas set aside for waterspouts such as scuba diving, canoes and pedaloes.

“Perfect house and location for holiday with young children” Lydae Villa 9 was the ideal house for our family holiday with two couples and five young children between ages 4 and 10. The villa is located about 10 minutes walk up a hill from the main road is a small complex of about 10 houses, so it is quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of main tourist area of Hisaronu. The pool is a perfect size for young kids and is visible from every window and patio on the back of the house and was cleaned by the pool man every day. The rooms inside were good size and modestly decorated and thus survived two weeks wear and tear from our five little monsters really well. Their are lots of activities to do with the kids, such as a private boat trip, Jeep Safari or just a visit to the beach. Both Oludeniz and Fetiye our very easy and cheap to reach and within walking distance of the villa is a medium sized water park that has an area for little ones as well as slides for the older kids. When we were there they were a running a free taxi service to the park if you went before 4. The only little niggles about the house were it had not been cleaned as well as one would expect before we arrived, the bed in the downstairs bedroom was very hard and the TV had a satellite box connected to it, but their no channels suited for the kids so it was a relief that had DVD player. “Good locationa and great views.” Villa was gorgeous and had plenty of room for our party of 7 to stay comfortably. We really enjoyed the pool. Not sure if we could all of managed to walk to Ovacik and Hisaronu everyday though. We hired a minibus and only took 5 mins to Ovacik and 10 mins to Hisaronu. The resturants, bars and shops are great, so friendly. Wished there had been a bit more information in the villa with regards to directions and locations of shops, Ovacik and Hisaronu and local markets on which days. Overall we had a great holiday, the villa is lovely and we loved Turkey! We hope to return.
