A large two-room apartment within a small and friendly holiday complex in a quiet setting with fantastic mountain views. It is on the second/top floor with 39 stairs to climb (no elevator).

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The apartment is in the village of Ovacik, which is located on a plateau beneath Mount Babadag. The road from Ovacik winds down to Fethiye on one side and down to Oludeniz beach on the other.


Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Fethiye is a historical harbour town, which is worth a visit to see the ancient Lycian rock tombs, browse around the shops in the narrow streets of the old town or just admire the beautiful sunsets from one of the many restaurants or bars along the harbour. You can book boat tours of the 12 islands in Fethiye Bay or you can take a water-taxi to Calis beach, where the is also a waterpark. There is a large market in Fethiye every tuesday.

Oludeniz is famous for its blue lagoon and is the most photographed beach in turkey. Worth visiting in the evening also, to watch the paragliders descend onto the beach from mountains 6550 feet high, against the backdrop of beautiful sunsets. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants here also.

Hisaronu comes alive at night. It's a shoppers paradise and also contains an amazing diversity of restaurants and bars. When you've had enough of the hustle and bustle of Hisaronu, hop on a minibus and ten minutes later you're back at the peaceful setting of our Odek apartment.

Lots of organised excursions can be booked locally. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking... if you only book one trip, make it the truck safari. Other trips we enjoyed are the gorge at Saklikent and the trip to the "Turkish Everglades" at Dalyan. Also worth a visit are the remains of ancient civilizations at Xanthos, Tlos, Patara and Ephesus.

A few miles away by local bus is the ghost town of Kayakoy. This is the remains of a town vacated by the Greeks after the War of Independence in 1922. It is located on a hillside and it is fascinating to wander around the deserted houses and churches. It is a half-hour walk to the top of the hill behind the town. There you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the coastline below. A few miles beyond Kayakoy is Gemiler Beach, reached by an infrequent bus service, but worth the effort, as it's a stunning location overlooking St. Nicholas's Island.

Fly to Dalaman airport. We will organise transfer directly to our apartment from there, costing GBP£22 return per adult/children under 12 are half-price.The journey takes approx 45 minutes. The apartment is a 10 minute minibus journey from the nearest big town, Fethiye.

The apartment comprises two rooms,both air conditioned.Both rooms have large en suite shower rooms with toilets. One room contains two single beds, 2 bedside lockers, dressing table with mirror and a free-standing 2-door wardrobe. The other room comprises 2 single beds,2 sofa beds, a table,walk-in wardrobes and a kitchen equipped with fridge,toaster,electric kettle and two-ring ceramic hob. The area where the sofa beds are, converts to a dining area during the day. Both rooms have small balconies with views of the pools and mountains. The apartment is cleaned twice weekly (includes linen & towel changing) and our guests pay GPB£20 per week locally for this service.

Our guests can use the gym/table tennis room within the complex and for a small fee, payable locally,pool table, turkish bath,sauna and massage room. Food and drinks are available at reasonable prices from the poolside bar, there is 24 hour reception and security within the complex.
