The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise Coast with its beautiful beaches and rugged scenery enjoys hot and sunny weather throughout its long summer.
The nearest beach is in Olu Deniz, one of Turkeys’ most famous and most photographed beaches. At the far end of the beach you will find the Blue Lagoon set inside a national park area. It is sheltered with still, warm waters perfect for safe swimming and paddling for any age group.
Fethiye is a large and lively harbour town with a lovely marina and promenade. Every Tuesday there is a huge traditional Turkish market which is the largest of its kind in the area where you can buy exotic spices, teas, fruits, vegetables as well as copy designer handbags and clothing, and of course Turkish delight. The historic Old Town is full of character and is home to many excellent bars and restaurants. Visit the fish market and choose a fresh fish which can be prepared and cooked for you in one of the adjacent restaurants for a small fee.
Visit the ghost town of Kayokoy village once home to 3,500 Greek residents. It is fascinating to see its empty streets and roofless houses.
Trips and excursions are available including:
- full day boat trips around the islands where you can swim in secluded coves and spot turtles and dolphins
- jeep safaris
- water rafting and kayaking
- Butterfly Valley
- paragliding from Babadag mountain
- Hisoranu Aqua park
- horse riding
- trip along Dalyan river (home to the Loggerhead turtles) and to the rejuvenating mud baths and spa
- Sakilikent Gorge some 18km long and the the second largest in Europe.
Hisaronu is a lively town with friendly locals dedicated to ensuring tourist satisfaction. Sitting in the hills above the Blue Lagoon it is close to both Fethiye and Oludeniz with their glorious beaches.
The turquoise waters of the Aegean sea and the shallow waters of the lagoon remain totally unspoilt. Here you can enjoy a range of water sports relax on the beach, take a boat trip or walk along the famous Lycian Way offering stunning coastal scenery. It is also one of the best places to try paragliding and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.
The rugged landscape around Hisaronu is ideal for those who enjoy hiking. The hills are wooded offering shade and the temperatures are cooler than at sea level. Alternatively the hills can be explored on horseback or on mountain bikes.
This vibrant town is full of gift shops, bars, cafes and restaurants which cater for every taste. At night it is particularly lively when holidaymakers from nearby resorts come to join in the fun.

"Wonderful villa and scenery."
The villa was modern, very clean and well equipped situate in the Orka valley ,one of seven
similar properties sharing a large circular swimming pool with a small childrens pool attached. There were numerous sun loungers available and the pool was regularly maintained and cleaned.
The villa had 3 bedrooms situate on the second and top floors, beds and linen changed every two days.
The Orka hotel ran a complimentary mini bus service that picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel where we could either hire a cab or use the local bus service (frequent&cheap)
Local bars & restaurants were plentiful catering for all tastes & pockets.
We had a lovely holiday and would return again.

"Modern, clean, comfortable holiday house"
We were very happy with our stay at Villa E Orka Valley because:
- We loved the location. Property is at Ovacik district of Oludeniz and is little far from crowded streets. Villa is adjacent to a farm and a farm house. Villa has nice mountain view.
- Climate was good compared to east mediterranean region (ie. Antalya and east coast). This location is less humid, which makes it more comfortable (at least we were Okay during our stay beginning of July)
- Property was new and well furnished / equipped (enough quality for holiday home) and property was very bright thanks to lot of glasses and windows.
- Pool was clean and nice. We used it only couple of times because our preference is always to swim at wonderful beaches nearby.
I`d say the only cons we had was that property does not have any flyscreen at the doors and windows which makes mosquitos to penetrate whenever you open the doors which then distrubs you at night. Management of the properties applying pesticide but seems it does not work.
1) All bedrooms have individual bathroom. After taking shower keep bathroom doors open as 2nd floor bathrooms does not have separate ventilation.
2) If you are Turkish tea and Turkish coffee lover like us, bring your own pots as property does neither have Turkish teapot nor Turkish coffe pot (which is normally not expected as customer profile seems dominantly foreigners).
3) Wi-fi is not offered.Be prepared to use your 3G.
4) While staying at this property you may utilize closeby Orka hotel facilities (pool, internet at lobby, spa, etc). We take our kid to kids club free of charge. Orka hotel also offers entertainment nights with some fee. They also offer free service from villas to hotel.
5) Please note time to time we felt smell from adjacent farm but it was not disturbing.
Thank you for your comments. We have now added fly/mosquito screens to the ground floor of the villa and added a turkish tea set.

"Lovely villa in great location"
Travelling with teenagers was concerned we would find somewhere that would cater for everyones needs. I needn't have worried, even though the villa is a 10 min walk from restaurants and supermarkets there ar plenty of ways to get around. Firstly if you don't fancy walking, the hotel shuttle bus will come and pick you up and take you up to Up to Ovacik any time you want them to! Taxis are plentiful and cheap. 5 mins from Ovacik is the more lively resort of Hisaronu with and 5 mins further on is Olu Deniz and the beach. There are lots of different trips if you want to go out and about.
The villa itself is spacious and has all the facilities available to make a relaxing holiday. The pool is only shared between 7 villas and ther are plenty of sun beds and shades.
We didn't get to do everything we wanted to and will definitely be returning.
