About the home

Villa Mavi is a large 3 bedroom detached villa, with private pool, garden and terraces. It is situated within Ovacik and sits in a valley between surrounding mountains providing a much needed cooling breeze in those hot lazy summer days.
It is a peaceful location with lovely views, but within easy reach of nearby Hisaronu town with all its amazing restaurants, and quaint bars. Ovacik itself is a thriving and growing town where Restaurants, Bars and even other hotel facilities are welcoming without being overbearing. It has been said that the people are what makes Turkey stand out from other destinations and their hospitality is second to none.
Olu Deniz Beach and the Blue Lagoon, are only a short Dolmus (bus) journey away as is the Fishing Town of Fethiye which is a must visit whilst in Turkey.
The first floor comprises of 1 double bedroom room with en suite, a second double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. All bedrooms are air conditioned and have their own access to the upper terrace. The ground floor comprises of the lounge area with sofas (both of which are comfortable sofa beds), a fully equipped kitchen, and dining area, which also has air conditioning.
The television, surround sound cinema system as well as sound system with iPod dock (as well as an MP3 jack) can provide more than enough entertainment if needed. There is satellite television and access to a WiFi point if needed (for which a password can be provided).
There is also a Playstation 3 with 2 controllers and a charging dock. This can play Blu Ray movies as well. There are a few games but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Sun loungers and large pool pillows are provided as well as a baby walker, baby chair and travel cot. The villa has a small fence and gate so as to make it safe for younger children.
There is a log fire, if you choose to visit turkey and stay in our villa during the winter time.
For larger groups, we have friends either side of us (one is 2 doors away and the other is next door) and so can cater for small and large groups. We can even put you in touch with Restaurants who can cater for beach weddings in Oludeniz on the Blue Lagoon so please feel free to ask.
The cleaner comes once a week and this also includes a linen and towel change.

There is an LCD TV, a surround sound cinema system with DVD player, Sony Playstation and Satellite television in the lounge area, along with various films (games not provided). The satellite is Turkish but has 4 English channels. A stereo is provided for your own discs etc, and has an iPod dock as well as a jack for MP3 players. There is also wi-fi internet facility connection available, to keep in touch whilst away (network key provided on booking). An intruder alarm is installed and instructions to set it are easy.

Further details outdoors:
There are Sunbeds, Parasols, Patio Tables and Chairs are provided for around the pool, and the terraced areas. These can be positioned around the villa as you require. There is a BBQ provided for "al fresco" dining especially handy for thos budding 'outdoor cooks'. Security CCTV is installed to external areas only. There are large poolside pillows.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Ovacik is situated on south-west coast of Turkey. The weather between July and August is very hot, however Ovacik is nestled within the valley of the mountains, providing that well needed mountain breeze. The town is positioned between Fethiye and Hisaronu. The beach and lagoon at Olu Deniz are a short dolmus (bus) journey away.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Local places to visit:
Fethiye - This is the local main town. The large Bazaar (market) is held every Tuesday, with everything from fruit to designer clothes available. There is a harbourside and marina, with bars and restaurants alongside. The Fish Market is everyday, and is situated behind the main harbour road. There you can choose your fish/seafood and the nearby restaurants will cook it for you.

Hisaronu - this is a lively town and within walking distance from the villa in Ovacik. It is abundant in shops, bars and restaurants, well equipped for good days and nights out!

Olu Deniz - This is the beachside town, which houses the famous Blue lagoon. The lagoon is very beautiful, and provide 'pond like' waters, to enjoy a cool down swim in the hot sun.The lovely sandy beach is found at the foot of the mountain, and continues along a long stretch, to the lagoon area. There are plenty of activities for the more energetic (watersports etc), but for those who wish to relax, there are plenty of sunbeds and parasols to enjoy a lazy day.

Kaya Koy - Also known as Ghost Town - This is an ancient historical area where once the greeks resided until leaving Turkey. Now, however still unihabited, it provides an enjoyable and interesting location to visit.

The best (and nearest) Airport to fly into will be Dalaman International Airport. From there we can arrange transfers for you with a knowledgeable and local driver who can cater for any size of party.The taxi will also meet you with some local Efes beer if you wish to organise party drinks from the airport. You don’t need a car to get around once in the area of Ovacik as taxis (some will pick you up and take you to their beach free of charge) and the Dolmus (very clean and modern buses) are very cheap to travel on. If you do wish there are a number of local car hire companies who can cater for your needs. Some of these in Hisaronu are very reasonably priced.
