The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise Coast is a perfect description of the waters surrounding the coastline. Fethiye is a bustling market and harbour town. Above the town numerous Lycian rock tombs were cut into the cliff face dating backing to the fourth century B.C.
Weather in the summer months averages 32 degrees centigrade and drops to an average 20 in the winter.
The Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Oludeniz (a 10 minute drive from the villa) with its much photographed white beach, sheltered blue lagoon, turquoise water and costal mountains, is one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean. The lagoon is a protected national park bordered by pine trees. At the main beach there is a good selection of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. A great location to just chill out surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Ovacik is a small village nestling below the Babadag Mountain (famous for paragliding). It is a tranquil and peaceful place to relax and unwind set in beautiful countryside. It also benefits from a cooling sea breeze during the hot summer months. A 15 minute walk down the road is the lively resort of Hisaronu. Here there are numerous bars, restaurants and shops - where you can practice your bartering skills ! It also boasts a vibrant nightlife during the summer months.
Sporting Activities: scuba diving, paragliding, canoeing, horse riding, walking
Exercusions: Boat cruise, Dalyan River Cruise , mud baths and Turtle beach, Saklikent Gorge, Turkish Bath (recommended !).
