About the home

This property is well presented, comfortable and is fully air-conditioned with mosquito blinds on doors and windows. It is set in a complex of 12 apartments in mature gardens and has a large balcony which overlooks a large pool, set amongst palm trees. Shaded parking is available within the grounds. There are ample sun loungers together with tables and chairs by the pool. Whether sunbathing by the pool or on the balcony, you are surrounded by mountain views. The location is ideal for families, couples or groups who wish to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Mekik, but within minutes they can be visiting bars, shops and restaurants. The world famous Blue Lagoon and the beaches of Olu Deniz are only 10 minutes away by dolmus. This part of Turkey is famous for para-gliding, white water rafting, jeep safaris, boat trips, quad biking, and excursions to famous historical sites. Micro-lite flying is available and the airfield is situated about 15 mins walk.

This apartment is modern and tastefully furnished with quality furniture. Although there are 12 apartments the complex is mostly quiet and there are plenty of sun beds around the pool. We also supply up to 6 sun bed mattresses exclusively for your use. Hassan the maintenance man is regularly in attendance and the owners can be contacted most anytime. We can arrange airport transfers and/or car hire at competitive rates. You will be met on arrival with keys for the apartment and a 'welcome pack' is available on request at a cost of £12.50, especially beneficial for night arrivals.

The apartments are situated in mature gardens with palm and fruit trees ensuring a measure of privacy from the outside world. The swimming pool is large and is maintained to a safe and high standard. Around the perimeter of the pool, safety matting has been placed so as to help the little ones avoid slipping when they are playing. All amenities are free to use and are for your exclusive use. Barbeques are a must at Mekik, as there is plenty of room for seating your friends and family.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This region of Turkey is such a beautiful place as through the summer months not only do you get plenty of sunshine and hot weather but the surroundings remain lush and green due to the heavy rainfall during the autumn and winter months.
There is good balance of old and new, traditional and modern. The magic of this region is that it has the ability to meet all needs, whether it be to experience real Turkish culture and mix with the locals, or if you want all the comforts of home and meet other holiday makers, or if you just want to be alone and have a quiet holiday.
There are many places of interest including two famous beaches, Olu Deniz and Patara, sites of ancient ruins in various places, the nearby ghost town of Kaya Koy, or Antalya City if you want some serious shopping. There are so many more which would just be too long to include everything here!

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Also the well known area of Hisaronu is about 2 mins drive and here you will find restaurants, bars, discos and shops.
About 10 mins drive from the apartment is the beautiful harbour town Fethiye, this bussling town can meet all your needs if you want a shopping spree, a spot of lunch by the harbour, or to go on a boat trip.

There are many flights from most UK airports to the nearest airport which is Dalaman. This is about 1 hours drive to the apartment. It is also possible to fly to the city airport Antalya which is about a 2 and a half hours drive to the apartment. Another possibility is to fly to istanbul and get a connecting flight to Dalaman.
The easiest and most common choice is the first, to fly direct from UK to Dalaman.
