About the home

Situated in Ovacik, with a backdrop of the Baba Dag mountains, providing welcome summer breezes, this newly built 2 bedroom duplex apartment on the 1st & 2nd floors offers the ideal holiday location close to Turkey's famous Blue Lagoon. Ovacik offers a quiet location for those who want to relax by the pool, but is within easy reach of Hisaronu if you want to savour the local cuisine and enjoy the lively night life. The beach at Olu Deniz is a short bus ride away.

The fully air conditioned apartment comprises one double room and one twin bedded room. There is a Zbed in the twin room for a 3rd person, also a sofabed that could sleep a further 2 people. For infants we have a cot available.

A large balcony with panoramic views of the mountains provides ideal al fresco dining. Table and chairs are provided.

The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle, plus juicer. There is a comfortable lounge area with 2 armchairs and 3 seater settee. CD/DVD player with assorted music and video discs available.

There is a supply of books, DVDs and games for your use.
The kitchen has the additional feature of a breakfast bar.
Sunloungers, mats and parasols are provided for use by the pool, as well as tables and chairs for the balcony.

For parents with pre school children we have a cot available.

The terraced gardens are fully landscaped and regularly maintained.
The generous sized pool has the added feature of a jacuzzi at the shallow end.
There is a gated parking area on the complex.

Airport transfers can be booked in advance at a cost of between £40 and £60 each way depending on the size of the party. There are several car rental companies in Ovacik, and the price can be haggled (currently approx £26 per day for a 5 door family hatchback)

Please no smoking except on the balcony.
On confirming a booking a payment of 25% of the total cost of the accommodation is required. Full payment to be received at least 6 weeks before the departure date. Any bookings within 6 weeks of departure to be paid in full at the time of booking.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Local transport in the form of dolmus (minibus) is frequent, inexpensive and easily accessible from the apartment.
Fethiye is the principle town with many shops, bars, restaurants and a permanent bazaar selling typical Turkish products. There is also an unmissable Tuesday market offering a plethora of bargain priced, locally grown produce as well as "designer" clothing, linen and much more.
There are many boat trips around the coast line in traditionally styled vessels. These offer remarkable value and provide a great day out for all the family.
Hisaronu is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride and provides a lively nightlife, with plenty of good, reasonably priced restaurants and bars.
The beach at Olu Deniz and the blue lagoon are a must see. There is a regular Dolmus service, the journey taking around 10 minutes.
The season starts in May which, with June, are a particularly nice times to visit as the spring flowers are in full bloom, and everything is very green. The climate is a more moderate 25 to 30C. The local wildlife (ie tortoises) are also active and can be spotted strolling around the locality.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Jeep safaris to all of the local places of interest are available.
Tandem paragliding from the local mountains and microlites.
Parascending and water skiing at Olu Deniz.
There is a good sized Go Kart track, small fun fair and trampolines at Hisoranu plus water theme park in Ovacik.
The gorge at Saklikent, and the Byzantine ruins at Tlos, the Roman amphitheatre at Xanthos and the ghost town at Kaya are well worth a visit.

Fly to Dalaman airport. Airlines such as Monarch, Thomas Cook, Onurair, Pegasus, Thomson fly have regular flights from principle UK airports. Easyjet now operate schedule flights to Dalaman. Transfers to/from the apartment can be arranged in advance.
Pinara Rent a Car have local offices in Ovacik and offer competitive rates for a range of vehicles.
