Our first floor apartment is on the popular family oriented ‘Oakland’s’ complex. This complex overlooks most of Ovacik and is surrounded by stunning scenery with Babadag (‘Father Mountain’) in the background. The apartment is conveniently located close to Hisaronu (nearest town and 7 minutes walking distance) with its popular restaurants, market and nightlife, and also to the famous Olu Deniz beach with its beautiful clean white sand, and warm blue sea (10 minutes by car or dolmus).

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
This stretch of coastline is known as the Turkish Riviera, or Turquoise Coast. Summer temperatures average 30 - 40C with a winter average of 16C. This area is steeped in history being the location of ancient Lycia, and contains a large number of historic ruins such as at Kaunos, Xanthos and Letoon. The area around Fethiye is one of the most beautiful, offering a perfect mix of beach resorts, curios, boat/gulet excursions and fantastic mountain scenery. From Fethiye the main road to Ovacik/Hisaronu, climbs up through pine-forest clad hills to the Ovacik/Hisaronu plateau at 1000ft above sea level.
Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Hisaronu: Hisaronu town is about a 20 min easy walk from the Oaklands complex, and contains all the amenities expected from a small town abroad. Cash points, shops, pharmacies, doctors, supermarkets, Monday market, lively bars, and restaurants are all available. The restaurants cater for all budgets - a typical 3 course meal is approx. £7.50, and also tastes:- Indian, Chinese, Italian, Turkish, English, Mexican.
Fethiye: No more than a 15 min dolmus ride away is Fethiye. Fethiye is a working market town and port, and as such offers a wide variety of shops and curios to wander round, restaurants to eat in, and boat owners with whom to plan memorable boat excursions. Fethiye is steeped in history and the amazing Fethiye Lycian rock tombs on the face of the east of the city are clearly visible when walking through the town.
Oludeniz: Oludeniz is Turkey’s most famous and photographed beach - a wide bay of coarse white sand curving round to meet a sheltered natural lagoon. The water in the lagoon is warm, still and crystal clear, making the lagoon a wonderful spot for children to play and explore. The beach front of Oludeniz is a fantastic place to either sun bath, or experience the relaxed atmosphere of the many beach bars and restaurants. Sit and watch the paragliders coming in to land from Babadag mountain whilst taking a break from the sun, or party to the early hours of the morning.
Kaya Koy: The ‘Ghost Village’ of Kaya Koy or as it was known for much of it’s history ‘Levissi’ is approx. 10 mins from the Oaklands complex by car. Wander round this 'haunted' village, take in its history and afterwards dine at one of the many fantastic restaurants. A visit to Kaya Koy of an evening is particularly recommended as this is when the village is lit up and evening mists settle, providing a stunning backdrop to a wonderful meal. Most or nearly all of the restaurants in the area provided a pick up and drop off service to your accommodation at either little or no charge.

Further details indoors: The apartment occupies 2 floors, and is furnished to a very high standard. The top floor consists of a large attic room containing 2 single beds, and a large double sofa bed, and an en suite bathroom with toilet and jacuzzi bath. This floor also has its own roof sun terrace with spectacular views over the complex and Babadag mountain.
The ground floor of the apartment contains a kitchen/breakfast bar with all mod cons, lounge with satellite TV and dvd player, and a speaker system for those with personal mp3 players, and a cd player in the 3rd and 2nd bedrooms. The double patio doors of the lounge lead on to a large balcony area with good views over the swimming pools, bar area and complex. This is a good place to enjoy an evening meal looking over the complex, with its lit pools and walkways. Also on this floor are the remaining 2 bedrooms comprising:- 1 double bed with washed pine furnishings, and 2 single beds with washed pine furnishings, and also the main bathroom with toilet/shower.
All floors are tiled. The living room/kitchen, and all bedrooms have individually controlled air-conditioning (cooling/and heating). Hair dryers are available in each bedroom. For those with young infants, a high chair (Ikea), travel cot and pushchair (Mothercare) are available. We have included a collection of family games to entertain children.
Smoke alams have been fitted throughout the apartment, two fire extinguishers have been placed in the kitchen and in the upper bedroom.
Further details outdoors: Both swimming pools are heated from May to October.
4 Sunbeds are available for the exclusive use of the apartment tenants.
The grounds of the complex are patrolled each evening by a security guard.

If you wish to make a booking, we require a 25% deposit. Confirmation of reservations will be made upon receipt of the deposit. This deposit is non-refundable.
The balance due must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to your departure date. Failure to pay the balance by this time could, at our discretion result, in the booking being cancelled and re-advertised.
You will also be asked to pay a £100 deposit to cover breakages, which will be returned to you within 28 days of your return to the UK as long as no damage to the property or its contents occur.
