Luxurious modern private 4 Star standard villa - sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably, with full facilities for self catering as well as easy access to nearby restaurants and bars and access to the 4 Star Orka hotel's facilities with their 7 bars and 3 restaurants(600 metres away). The hotel has its own health club to treat yourself to spa treatments or a Turkish bath.
The Villa is ideally situated in a quiet location complex of just 16 villas that look out onto the Babadag mountains, that provides a cooling breeze during those hot Summer days . The Villa benefits from a superb Olympic sized swimming pool and children's pool for our guests to enjoy. There is free use of sunbeds and parasols, around the villa and poolside.
The property interior is nicely decorated with cool white walls and splashes of colour. The villa has 3 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 double) and 3 bathrooms. An open plan lounge/diner/kitchen that includes an electric oven, hob, grill and kettle plus a washing machine, air conditioning, TV, DVD player, maid service and linen changed twice weekly, balcony and terrace.
It is just a 5 minute walk to the nearby village of Ovacik where you can find shops, restaurants and bars. The larger town of Hisaronu is 15 minutes away by foot, where there is a market, post office, cash machines. international restaurants etc.
The popular beach resort of Olu Deniz is just 15 minutes away by Dolmus bus and the large town of Fethiye for seeing the port and taking boat trips is just 20 minutes by Dolmus.

The villa is fully air conditioned and there is heating for the winter months.
The villa has one double master bedroom with ensuite and two twin rooms with their own verandas/balconys.There is one main family bathroom upstairs and a WC and shower downstairs. There is a large dining area inside and outside for all our guests to use.
Cots can be hired from reception at a small charge payable at hotel.
The sofa bed is in the lounge and can be converted to a double bed.
Electric Oven and Gas Hob for guests that wish to self cater.
Beautiful Marble staircase leading to bedrooms and bathroom.
Fitted wardrobes in each bedroom.
Dressing tables in double bedroom and twin bedroom.
Two private sun loungers on upstairs balcony for our guests to sunbathe in private.

The Mountain View complex is maitained to a very high standard and provides a safe and carefree environment for your family holiday.

Bed Linen and towels are provided to guests and changed regularly by maid. Villa is serviced by the maid every 2 days.

The shared indoor swimming pool is available at the 4 star Orka hotel for you to use. There is a small toddler playground in the gardens of the Orka hotel with swings and small slide.
The hotel's al-la-carte restaurant is highly recommended. You can always have the option of going half board at the restaurant if you prefer- this can be arranged through reception or restaurant staff. Other facilities at the Orka hotel on offer are the Turkish Baths, Children's Club, 2 outdoor swimming pools one with a slide and indoor swimming pool, internet access available.
The staff are very friendly and a hotel's courtesy vehicle can take you up to the hotel day and night to use their facilities and back to the Villa again by arranging through hotel reception, or it is just a 5 minute walk away if you prefer.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Turkey has recently become the fastest growing travel destination, and that is with good reason. The weather is great most of the year round, the scenery is spectacular, the food is outstanding and the people are unbelievably hospitable and Turkey offers good value for money.
As Turkey does not really have a Winter tourism season. High season is May to September. The best time to go is Spring (April - May) and Autumn (September-October) as the climate is perfect for sightseeing. Visiting before mid June or after August may also help you avoid mosquitoes outside. If you prefer to relax on the beach mid May to September is the ideal time for this pastime.
No prizes for guessing why it is called the Turquoise coast; South West Turkey boast some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe/Asia. The Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz Beach is only 15 mins from the villa and is probably one of the most famous beaches in the country, it is easy to get to by dolmus and is the ideal place for sun worshipers to go to and is very busy in the Summer months. The lagoon is calm so ideal for safe swimming. There are ample sunbeds and parasols and bars/restaurants to enjoy your time on the beach. The beach offers lots of water sports for the energetic such as pedaloes, banana boats, jet skis, wind surfing, paragliding, and water skiing. Paragliders land here on the beach after taking off from the top of the Babadag mountains.
The Lycian region has something for everyone; history, 4th century BC tombs and ruins, culture, amazing scenery including mountains,canyons and memorable sunsets, a huge choice of sports even as extreme as paragliding, beautiful beaches, clear blue sea, fantastic restaurants and local wine, lively nightclubs, turkish baths, a ghost village, bustling local markets and local entertainment such as belly dancers!
The Lycian Way itself is a 509Km marked walkway, where anyone interested could actually take in the splendour of the scenery all the way from Fethiye right through to Antalya.
The Hisaronu / Ovacik area
Both Hisaronu and Ovacik are popular villages with British holidaymakers.
Hisaronu is a busy small town about a fifteen minute walk down the hill from the villa, it has many gift shops, mini-markets, supermarkets, restaurants offering local and international cuisine, bars, public phone boxes, ATMs, currency exchange offices, hairdressers. There is even a small fun fair. Cars, scooters and bikes can be hired here and taxis are plentiful. At night Hisaronu really comes alive catering for everyone. There is a Monday market just by the Ovacik/Hisaronu roundabout for buying cheap fruit and veg.
During the winter months several bars and restaurants are open on limited days.
You can buy prepaid phone cards at booths and shops displaying the yellow and blue logo in Hisaronu. If you want to use your mobile in Turkey, they use the standard GSM network operating on 900 or 1800 MHZ. You should set up an international roaming facility with your home phone provider before you leave home, mobiles can connect with Turkey's Turkcell, Vodafone or Avea networks. If you want to buy a sim card in Turkey stick to the big networks. A sim card with Turkcell, the best network costs TL35 with some free credits. You can buy these from the kiosk in Azda Supermarket in Hisaronu. You have to show your passport to the sales assistant on purchase. Beware though if you buy a Turkish sim and use it in your home mobile, the network will bar foreign phones within a fortnight and it is difficult to remove your phone from the blacklist. However you can buy a basic mobile phone in Turkey for about TL50 from Azda in Hisaronu.
Ovacik is ideal for walkers and many people enjoy hiking around the pine valleys seeing the ancient sights and wildlife. Ovacik is also popular for cycling especially in Autumn and Spring when it is not too hot and there is still loads of sun. Horseriding is available in Ovacik which is also nice to do.
Over the past couple of years more hotels and villas have been built but local government insures no building goes over 2 storeys and our villa sits on the edge of the green belt so nothing will be built in the future to spoil the beautiful views.
Ovacik where the villa is located is a quiet village just next to Hisaronu and has many restaurants close by and many bars to choose from, these are more relaxing than the busy Hisaronu restaurants and cater for couples and families of all ages, some offering entertainment .
Just across and up the the road from the Fryer Tuck Bar is a small Aqua Park with about a dozen slides. Nearby to the villa there are several small convenience shops to buy food and other goods should you wish to self cater in the well equipped kitchen.
Whilst in Ovacik take advantage of the excursions you can do to places like the mud baths at Dalyan, Butterfly Valley, Ephesus and Pamukale and boat trips to the 12 islands and fully catered gulet cruises around the coast.. The harbour of Fethiye is close by to Ovacik and runs a weekly market.
Near the roundabout of Ovacik/ Hisaronu you will find a medical centre where private hospital facilities can be arranged if needed.

The nearest airport to the villa is Dalaman.
Throughout the year, but especially during the busy Summer months, you can catch international flights to and from Dalaman. Turkey's national carrier is Turkish Airlines which has direct flights from Istanbul to Dalaman, it has a reasonable safety record and service is good too. Easyjet offer cheap flights between London Luton and London Gatwick and Dalaman. British Airways offer direct flights between London and Turkey or you can find cheap flights by booking on less usual airlines such as Cyprus.Turkish Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines. It is a good idea to book at least 2 months in advance for flights to Turkey if you plan to arrive from early April until late August.
A wide range of airlines travel to Dalaman and Antalya airports from most of the UK airports. Charter flights go to Turkey from Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Newcastle and are usually cheaper at the beginning and end of the season. Typical charter return fares bought in advance are £109-£220.

UK nationals need a visa to visit Turkey for up to 3 months. This is a sticker bought on arrival at the airport or border post and it usually allows for multiple entries. You have to queue to buy the visa before queuing for immigration. It costs £10 and you have to pay in cash. They wont give change. No photo is needed for the visa. For more information on this go to www.mfa.gov.tr. You also need to ensure your passport will still have at least 6 months life in it after you enter Turkey.
Private Return Transfers can be organised from Dalaman airport with the Orka Hotel, who will show you to the villa, transfers payable on arrival at the Hotel. Transfer times are 50 mins approx.

We had an excellent stay at the villa. The villa itself was very well equipped with excellent facilities. The pools were fantastic for our whole family (ages ranging from 15 years to 9 months). We loved the local hotel (The Orka) and the restaurants. The whole holiday was fantastic and we shall be returning. |

We really had a fantastic holiday at Mountain view. The villa was spotless and had all the mod cons needed to make us very comfortable. The children made good use of the dvd player and the three bathrooms was complete luxury! The pool was fantastic and the kids were in there constantly. The Orka hotel was also very good the staff were very helpful and the kids club was a favorite with the younger ones. I would recommend their Bar B Q on a saturday evening for a really great night. The food is fantastic and the entertainment is really good. It's quite pricey for an adult, but under 6's go free. I would have prefered to have been closer to Hisaranou as it was about a 20 min walk which consisted mainly of hills so was a bit of a struggle with all the children and buggies etc. However, there were a few nice restuarants nearby so we did not need to travel into the town every evening. I would recommend Friar Tucks Restaurant which is just at the top of the road, they were very friendly and were great with the kids, the food was lovely and they had pool tables and computers to keep the kids entertained. Overall a fantastic holiday was had by all!!! I would definately recommend this for familys is great if you want a quiet break and also if you want the busy bars and resturants it is close enough to that too. I'm sure you will have a fantastic time here. |
