About the home

Orka Park is a stunning, award winning complex, completed in 2011 by the multi award winning Orka Homes .

Our corner positioned, ground floor luxury family apartment has three terraces and one large balcony. One terrace overlooks the two large swimming pools and beautiful landscaped gardens, with stunning views of the pine-clad mountains beyond. The other two terraces and the balcony have views across Hisaronu and the Ovacik valley.

The ground floor of our spacious duplex apartment comprises of the entrance hall, fully tiled washroom & wc, fully fitted kitchen with a large window and panoramic views, granite worktops and all the latest appliances including, fridge/freezer, oven with hob & extractor, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle etc.

From the kitchen, the open plan lounge and dining area is a lovely bright room with full width floor to ceiling windows at both ends, it is fully furnished including a 4 seater sofa, 2 armchairs with pouffes, coffee table, a flat screen tv including several English speaking news and movie satellite channels and dvd player. Mini i phone / i pod docking station & charger. We also have a selection of dvd's and books for our guests use.

The dining area has a dining table with 6 chairs and large double doors lead onto the balcony with rattan style furniture where you can relax and watch the stunning sunset.

From the entrance hall, marble stairs lead down to the lower floor where there are two large bedrooms, one double with king size bed and one twin with two single beds, both rooms have handmade fitted wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors, hair dryers, bedside drawers with reading lamps and plenty of storage.
Both bedrooms have large en-suite shower rooms and double doors leading out onto a terrace area with panoramic views across the valley.
There is also a large third room which has a single bed and fitted wardrobes and can be used as a third single bedroom.
There is an iron, ironing board and clothes dryer etc for guests use.

Free of charge air conditioning units are provided throughout the apartment for guests comfort.

Poolside Bar & Restaurant serving breakfasts, all day drinks, snacks & ice creams and early evening meals. Free WiFi is also available.

As the complex is part of the Orka Group, our guests are privileged to have full use of the nearby 4* Orka Hotel complex which has a newly refurbished childrens club, gym, health spa & Turkish bath. Three swimming pools, including one indoor & one with a water slide, poolside snackbars, pool and table tennis tables, internet cafe, a la carte restaurant and terrace bar with nightly entertainment, including kids disco, Turkish themed nights with belly dancers and barbeques etc.

Guests also have access to the Brand new all inclusive 5* ORKA SUNLIFE HOTEL. Overlooking Oludeniz. Facilities include water slides, spa centre & salon. (Separate charges apply)

Free transport is available between all Orka complexes.
We also have details of several local private beaches that offer a free pick up and return transport.

Our spacious, much larger than average apartment is fully furnished and equipped with all the very latest modern appliances, offering guests the highest standard of accomodation throughout. A real home from home.

Orka Park is an exclusive private complex of villas and apartments with a large communal swimming pool and children's pool with more than enough sunbeds and parasols for guests. There is also a large separate childrens pool and Poolside bar & Restaurant all surrounded by landscaped gardens. The complex also has 24 hour English speaking reception/security.

The complex is in a truly beautiful and tranquil location near the foot of the Babadag Mountain and just a 10 - 15 minute stroll down to the centre of both Hisaronu and Ovacik with their many family friendly shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

It is only a 5 minute Dolmus ride down to the beach with it's many watersports at Olu Deniz and the Blue Lagoon or 15 minutes by dolmus to Fethiye with its long seafront marina offering a vast array of boat and fishing trips and weekly markets.

Orka Park is maintained and cleaned to a very high standard to provide a safe and spotlessly clean environment for your family holiday.

With local day trips and boat trips available at reasonable prices your holiday can be as busy and fun filled or as relaxed and peaceful as you choose. There is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

A 25% non refundable deposit is required to secure any booking. Full payment of the balance is required 12 weeks prior to departure.

Payment in full is required for any booking made within 12 weeks of departure.

The prices are the total cost of the apartment (not per person) per week.

A £100 refundable damage / security / breakages deposit to be paid 12 weeks prior to departure with the balance which will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure after an inspection of the property has been carried out. Guests are respectfully asked to report any damage, breakages or problems to reception immediately so they can be rectified for you.
Any serious damage must be paid for prior to departure. However we understand that the odd small item such as glasses and crockery may get broken or damaged and no charge will be made for such items, although we do ask that you inform us to enable replacements to be made for future guests.

There will be a charge for lost keys and energy saver fob.

Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged for you and are payable in sterling directly to Orka on arrival. Any transfers are not included in the rental prices quoted.

Airport transfer costs are £75 for up to 4 people & £85 for up to 8 people return.

The apartment will be available for occupancy from 4pm on the date of arrival (unless vacant or by prior arrangement) and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. Times will be varied if at all possible to suit guests requirements but this will obviously depend on other guest bookings etc.

We will consider long weekend breaks and 10/11 night stays subject to availability.

Provisional bookings will be held for up to 5 days pending receipt of the deposit or payment in full.

The apartment is cleaned and linen/towels are provided and will be changed for you during your stay.We kindly request that guests bring their own beach/pool towels.

Most facilities are available from 01/05 - 31/10. Outside these dates the pool will be drained and there are no bar services. The Orka hotel is also closed. However airport transfers and maid service can be arranged if required. The air conditioning also has a heater function for those who wish to visit in the winter months.

Having rented numerous properties ourselves we want to ensure that all our guests have a hassle free holiday. Whilst staying at our property you will be looked after by the friendly Orka staff, who will ensure that it is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained.
We have also arranged a free delivery service for our guests convenience with a local 24hr mini supermarket who will deliver your groceries, drinks and fresh bread etc to the apartment for you if required. Goods can also be ordered by e-mail in advance of your arrival and will be waiting in the fridge for you when you arrive.

Extra Beds, Cots & High Chairs can be booked in advance for you through Orka if required for £15 per week.

Sorry but smoking is NOT permitted inside the apartment.

We strongly recommend that all guests have a comprehensive Travel Insurance for peace of mind.

Please note that an entry visa is required for Turkey at £10 per person (inc children), payable in cash on arrival at Dalaman airport before you pass through passport control.

Conditions

Should changes to flight schedules subsequently be imposed by the airline, we can not necessarily guarantee accommodation availability outside of the period originally booked. We will endeavour to accommodate date changes if at all possible, should these not clash with other guest bookings either side of the requested period.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Turkey's south western coast is often referred to as the Turquoise Coast due to it's crystal clear waters, the area has breathtaking views, with stunning mountain backdrops and pine forests, as well as beautiful beaches, and ancient ports along the coastline.

Olu Deniz
Olu Deniz is one of the most beautiful and photographed beaches in Turkey and is recognised by many as one of the best beaches in Europe, so much so that it was voted Europes Leading Beach Destination 2011 at the World Travel Awards. The world famous Blue Lagoon is accessed by a narrow inlet and therefore sheltered from the open sea, offering calm turquoise waters for safe bathing.
Paragliding is available from the Babadag Mountains landing on the beachfront promenade.

Fethiye
The town of Fethiye is only 15 minutes away by dolmus. The picturesque waterfront and marina is bordered by a palm lined promenade, has numerous restaurants and bars and from here you can take a boat trip around the 12 islands or try Skuba Diving. The old town has bazaars selling aromatic herbs and spices, turkish delight, carpets and leather goods.

Kayakoy
Known locally as the Ghost Village, it is a deserted Greek settlement standing on a hillside overlooking the valley and is only a few miles away. You can explore the ruins including the remains of an old church.

Dalyan
Dalyan is one of Turkeys most picturesque historical resorts, boat trips provide transport to the local beaches, the nearby mud baths and upriver to Kaunos, passing rock tombs high on the cliff face. The Dalyan Delta meets the sea at the beautiful long golden sands of Iztuze beach; enjoy a relaxing swim in the fresh water lake. The area is a nature conservation area and a refuge for Loggerhead Turtles and blue crabs.

Saklikent Gorge
The Spectacular Saklikent Gorge is the place to chill out in the cool green highlands. The gorge is 300m high and 11 miles long carved out by the churning waters of the Esen River. Access to the gorge is by a suspended wooden footbridge. Enjoy a river walk within the high walls of the gorge itself or just relax at one of the riverside tables at the base of the gorge and enjoy freshly caught fish, or browse around many of the traditional handmade market stalls. For the more adventurous try white water rafting or a doughnut ride in the ice cold river Esen rapids.

Göcek
Away from major tourist centres, Göcek has retained much of its original charm. There are no multi-storey hotels or apartment blocks, no noisy nightclubs or discos. Yet because of its popularity among the international yachting community, the local town of Göcek is very cosmopolitan. The shops, restaurants and bars cater for European tastes whilst retaining their Turkish character.

Göcek is approximately 35 minutes drive from the apartment and has a large marina & yacht club and is also home to the Lycia Mountaineering & Nature Sports Club. From here you can try Mouintain Cycling, Trekking, River & Sea Canoeing, Orienteering and various other outdoor pursuits.

For the less adventurous there are Art, Music & Dance Classes also available. The Art & Painting instructors are Fine Arts School Graduates and can cater for individuals or small groups and can give instruction on the following styles: Sketching, Charcoal and Ink, Oil paints, Pastels and Acrylic paints

The Hisaronu area

Hisaronu is a lively resort nestled in the mountains above Olu Deniz beach. The main street offers a wide range of family friendly restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes. There is a wide range of shops offering leather goods and gold jewellery at extremely good prices. There is also a weekly market every Monday which allows you to use your haggling skills with the locals.
For the dads I would also recommend visiting one of the local barbers for a shave and head massage, you will feel refreshed and relaxed afterwards, while the mums can try one of the many local salons offering beauty treatments, manicures and pedicures etc.

Ovacik
Ovacik ajoins, but is not as lively as Hisaronu yet still has everything you could wish for for a relaxing holiday, with bars, restaurants and shops lining the main road. It has a large water park (fee payable) with several pools and slides. For the more adventurous there is Horse riding & Pony trekking. Also Jeep Safaries and Microlite flights are available.

Local Activities
The area is great for:

Walkers, the Lycian way is a 509 km marked footpath around the coast and mountains and passes nearby.

Cycling, Beach or Poolside Relaxation, Watersports, Waterpark, Paragliding, Horse/Pony Riding, Jeep Safaris & Excursions, Quad Biking, Go Karting, Fishing, Boat Trips, Visiting Ancient Amphitheatres, Ruins and Rock Tombs.

All excursions can be booked at outlets in Hisaronu town and Olu deniz at very competitive reasonable rates and once again don't be afraid to haggle.

Good night life with something for everyone.

Airport: Dalaman: 50km

Fly to Dalaman Airport. Transfers to Orka Park take approx 50 mins and can be arrranged for you with a return door to door service via our local Orka agent on request.

Leave the airport by the main exit doors of the airport terminal, cross over the road / ramp down to the individual meeting point on the left hand side, where you will be greeted by an Orka representative with a sign indicating your name and Orka logo, you will then be driven to the Orka Park reception to receive the keys to the apartment.
Help with your suitcases will be available if required on arrival.
Transfers by Taxi are available but are much more expensive.

Car rental is available at the airport but can be arranged much cheaper locally.

“Wonderful accomodation and location” This was our third year in Hisaronu and first year at Orka Park. The accomodation is fantastic and is the nicest apartment we have stayed in. It is extremely spacious and modern with lovely views of the sunset in the evening from the balcony. There is a constant breeze by the pool so even in August it was not too hot for ourselves and the children. The pool staff, Josh and Mahmut are great and very welcoming. The walk into town is downhill and not too far with some nice restaurants en route but we did opt for a taxi back ! Taxis are also available outside the gate to olu Deniz and Fethiye. We will definately be returning next year.

“A brilliant apartment and chilled out stay.” Stayed here with my wife for a week and must admit it was a brilliant time. The apartment is modern, huge and contains everything you need for a great time. The resort location, staff, poolside bar etc faultless. The bar closes around 2000hrs meaning no late late music, noise etc. If you want late nights there is plenty just down the road. The pool is huge and no need to reserve a sun lounger, plenty to go around. The reception is staffed 24 hrs and they with the bar staff cannot do enough for you. Regular cleaning is carried out in the apartment. You have full use of the Orka Hotel facilities down in the town and a free shuttle is provided (5 mins away). The hotel hosts a 'Turkish Night' for 35TL and although usually a bit wary of these type of nights this was the best I've been to. The food and entertainment is first class. The local dolmus bus service runs every few minutes and for 2-3 TL you can be in Olu Deniz, Hisaronu,Fethye within minutes. Some of the local beaches will pick you up from the resort and drop you off for free. Craig and Alison the apartment owners are great to deal with and arranged a perfect airport transfer. We would and probably will return again.
