Ideally situated in the charming village of Ovacik, Letoon Homes are a delightful private complex of 18 high quality apartments with communal swimming pool, plus a children’s pool and sun terrace where you can relax with a cool drink and enjoy your surroundings.
Letoon 8 is an upper apartment. The apartment itself is arranged over two floors and is of course, fully air conditioned. Fully fitted and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher.
The main balcony, where you can dine and enjoy a BBQ, faces to the front overlooking the pool area.The en suite bedroom on this floor also has a small balcony - perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Both upstairs bedrooms open out onto good size sun terraces providing ample privacy for sharing guests and the perfect setting for a relaxing breakfast or a quiet read. From the balconies you can enjoy peaceful views as you look over the tranquil sights of Ovacik, Hisaronu and the surrounding mountains.
The apartment is perfectly situated for those who want all the ample amenities that Hisaronu has to offer without being constantly in the heart of the action - so you have the best of both worlds! The world famous and stunning beach at Olu Deniz and the market town of Fethiye are within easy reach making this an ideal holiday home.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Where to begin? This is such a wonderful area of Turkey with so many exciting activites for everyone. You can relax all day by the apartment of course, or go sunbathing and swimming in the turquoise-coloured waters of the world famous Oludeniz beach. Try paragliding, sailing, diving or trekking.
Book a 12 islands boat trip with lunch included. You can get off the boat to swim in the lagoons. A wonderful day out for less than £15 a head. Visit the gorge at Saklikent on a jeep trip which is loads of 'water' fun! The Turtle sanctionary at Dalyan or Butterfly Valley are also well worth a visit. We recommend a Turkish entertainment evening held at the the old deserted once Greek inhabited 'ghost' village of Kayakoy. Or visit Kakakoy during the day and have lunch in the tree house restaurant where food is cooked on outdoor bbq's with a play area for children.
There are many restaurants in the area where you can sample real Turkish cuisine and many historical trips you can take. Children are always welcomed. Don't forget to take a very relaxing Turkish bath (hamam) and massage at least once before you leave!

Fethiye is the main harbour town in the area with good shopping and restaurants. Dolmus - local mini buses - leave from outside the apartment every 10 minutes or so and cost between 30p and 70p per journey depending on distance. You will be in Fethiye in about 12 minutes. Promenade along the sea front or visit the local markets and bazaars. Fethiye is also a good centre for catching tour boats and visiting the ancient sites in western Lycia. You will find a couple of good supermarkets in Fethiye as well.
Fethiye has a wonderful Tuesday market with endless stalls and a fantastic array of fresh fruit and vegetables. It is a real day out and a great atmosphere. We always start first at the outdoor food cafes for Turkish pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice!
The nearest beach is the spectacular Olu Deniz beach - again catch a Dolmus and in 10 minutes you can spread out on your beach chair and spend the day in the sun. Lots of water sports here at the beach.
Especially for children there is a private water park in Ovacik just a short walk from the Letoon apartments - www.granducel.com.
Hisaronu is a satellite resort of Fethiye. Set on a hill 1500 feet above sea level. Catch a Dolmus or take a 15 minute pleasant walk from the apartment to the excellent shops, restaurants and bars of Hisaronu. Walk around soaking up the holiday atmosphere of an evening and feel safe and relaxed. Good Azda supermarket here as well for all your groceries.
It is also worth visiting the quieter resort of Calis (Chalis) for an afternoon strolling along the beach front and sitting in the many cafes and bars. Only about a 15-20 minute drive by Dolmus. Calis also has a fresh market on Sundays - very popular. There is also a bigger water park at Calis to keep the children entertained - see www.sultansaquacity.com
How to get there
- Your direct flight time to Dalaman Airport from all major UK airports is just under 4 hours. You can also fly via Istanbul (Turkish Airlines/Easyjet) and change for an internal flight to Dalaman - this takes a few hours longer but is a useful option out of the main season. - Transfer time from Dalaman to the apartment is only 40 minutes. Taxis run regularly from the airport but it is cheaper to book in advance at approximately £10 per head return. We recommend www.orangerentacar.com for both car hire and Airport Transfer and we can make the booking for you. - Easyjet NEW Route 2008 - Gatwick to Dalaman! - There are also several Charter Airlines flying to Dalaman. On request, we can send a fuller list of flight companies to try - Find lots of travel information and a list of flight companies on www.turkeytravelplanner.com - All British Citizens will need to purchase a Tourist Visa (£10 per person) at your port of arrival in Turkey.

Further details indoors: The apartment is in pristine condition, well built and fully air-conditioned. Sleeping 6. A baby cot is available to hire for a small guest if required! Stair gates are also available.
The furnishings are of a high quality. Ample fresh bed linen and white towels are provided. The kitchen is a delight to work in. It is fully equipped with cutlery, white crockery, pots and pans, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer and more. Comfortable beds and wardrobe storage in each bedroom. Outside dining on the Balcony seats 6.
Further details outdoors: The relaxing grounds and pools are in top condition. Sun loungers are provided around the pool areas and maintenance staff will be on site to assist you at all times. (Please be aware that the pool will close from the end of October through to the end of March during the mediterranean winter months).
There is 24 hour management and security on site and the staff are very helpful indeed. We also have our own English-speaking property manager in Turkey who will be available to assist with any enquiries during your stay.

Beach towels are NOT supplied. But don't worry, if you forget to bring these then you will find them cheap to buy at local shops and markets.
Conditions
- A non-refundable booking deposit of £100 per week is required at confirmation of booking. - A refundable breakages deposit of £200 is payable with full payment. - Full payment of rent due 6 weeks before travel. - No animals are allowed (but you are perhaps unlikely to want to bring them with you anyway). - We respectfully ask you to refrain from smoking in the apartment. - We would appreciate if you would advise us of any breakages in the apartment during your stay. - Please make sure you have Travel Insurance. We are unable to get public liability insurance in Turkey and we must disclaim in the event of any accident.
