About the home

This modern, well equipped apartment is quiet and peaceful but located just three minutes' walk from the centre of Hisaronu with numerous shops bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Close by, just 5 minutes by Dolmus (minibus) is the stunning beach of Oludeniz, where you can experience free access to private beaches in the famous Blue Lagoon. Here you will find a bar and restaurant, toilet facitiies and childrens play areas. There is a charge for sunbed/parasol hire, which is between 5 to 6 TL, the same as the public beach.

KayaKoy, (the Ghost Town) is also 10 minutes away. Fethiye, with its beautiful harbour is 15 minutes by Dolmus with the local market a must for bargain hunters.

The apartment is finished to a high standard and benefits from its own private pool, (shared with the apartment below). Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning mountain views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, the apartment is ideal for families or couples with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Ideal for relaxing in the beautiful surroundings or for those seeking more excitement,Tandem Paragliding is available from the top of Babadag Mountain (not for the faint hearted!!), also for the children there is Go-karting and a Fairground within walking distance. You can also arrange Horse Riding locally.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region of Turkey is simply stunning. It is located on the Mediterranean Coast to the South West of the country and has spectacular pine clad mountains, beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters.

The weather is warm and sunny with summer temperatures often reaching into the 30's. Hisaronu is 1000ft above sea level which benefits from a cooling breeze.

Located between Oludeniz and Fethiye travelling around the area could not be simpler, with the Dolmus (mini-bus) providing regular and cheap transport to all areas. All vehicles are modern and air conditioned for your comfort.

The Turkish people are friendly and helpful, with many places to visit to suit all tastes.

The Hisaronu / Central Hisaronu area

Hisaronu is nestled in the hills and surrounded by mountains and pine forests on three sides, offering a cool breeze which is very welcoming on a hot day. It is a vibrant place which offers something for everybody, with its many colourful bars, shops and restaurants, along with supermarkets, plus ATM's and money exchanges.

The restaurants vary from English, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and of course, Turkish. The staff are very friendly with most speaking English. Hisaronu also offers a Fairground, Go-Karting for the Chilren and Quad Bikes and Buggy hire for the more adventurous among us!

Oludeniz - "The Blue Lagoon" probably the most well known beach in Turkey, is a white beach with crystal clear waters, with Mount Babadag in the background giving a superb opportunity to those who wish to Para-glide from the top down to the landing area at Oludeniz beach. There is a vast range of water sports available here including boat trips and Scuba Diving.

Fethiye- This ancient and historic City is famous for it's rock tombs that are carved into the cliffs, which can be clearly seen from the city itself and date back to the 4th century BC. Fethiye also has two beautiful Marina's (old and new) with a diverse selection of boat trips, fishing trips and diving trips. You can also get a ferry to Rhodes from here.

For those who love to shop or browse, the narrow streets of the old city or the Tuesday market is a must!
For a perfect end to a perfect day, you can watch the sun go down in one of the many bars and restaurants along the waters edge.

Kayakoy - "The Ghost Village" is only a 10 minute Dolmus ride away - explore the extensive ruins of the old Greek settlement which was once inhabited by 3500 citizens, the Greeks left in 1922 after a population exchange with Turkey. The Turkish people, not liking to live on the side of a mountain, left, leaving behind the "ghost town" . There are some good restaurants here making it a great place to relax and unwind.

Saklikent Gorge - "The Hidden Valley" - This is a modern day wonder of the world, where nature has created a massive gorge in the rocks, 300 metres deep and 18 kilometres long. Here you can walk along the side on the service bridge and watch the rapidly flowing waters cascading along. This is a great place to visit and should be on your "must do" list.

And finally, there are many activities for you to try in the area, these include boat trips, Jeep safari, paragliding, diving, fishing, sailing, trekking, water sports, horse riding, sightseeing tours, all of which can be arranged locally.

“perfect!!!!” my wife and i and another couple stayed in hillcrest apts for 2 weeks, absolutley perfect!! situated just off the top of the main street in hisaronu but no noise can be heard. fantastic views of ovacik an babadag mountain. the apts are fitted out to a very high standard, decorated in neutral colours throughout. both bedrooms and have large ensuite facilities which are beautifully tiled. good size kitchen with everything you would need for a self catering stay. lounge equipped with 2 settees, flat screen tv, satelite box and dvd player. on the balcony there is a large table with 6 chairs. we have been to hisaronu 5 times in the past so we know the area really well. when we return in the future the hillcrest apts will be first on our list for accomadation. would like to say to the owner jennie again, thanks pleasure of staying in hillcrest apts
