Peacefully located on the edges of the village of Ovacik, the villa sits in its own gardens with a good size pool and small vegetable patch. The Nut House is a delightful space for a guaranteed nut brown tan and tranquil snoozing.

The villa is in easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants.
All rooms have air conditioning.
The kitchen has recently been upgraded.
Large driveway for ease of parking.

Facilities

The interior of the villa is pleasantly cool throughout the day.

There is an abundance of crockery, pots and pans, together with all manner of white electrical goods.

The villa is cleaned before each visit and for those staying for more than one week can be cleaned midway for a small fee.

There are clean replacement sheets and towels available. Poolside robes are also available.
You should not need to pack towels hence allowing space for more important things!

Further details outdoors:
There are 3 balconies to take advantage of views, breeze and all day sun. (even quick drying of smalls)

There are 2 patios on the ground level, one looking onto the pool for daytime refueling and the other to the side to admire the glorious sunsets much improved with a glass or two of Dikman red wine.
Also there is a secluded barbeque area to the rear of the villa with a brick built double BBQ.. Fuel not supplied.

There is a vegetable plot supplying tomatoes, peppers (hot and/or sweet), aubergines, runner beans, cucumbers for the BBQ as well as a lemon tree and fig trees to be raided in season
I don't hold out much hope for the orange tree.
. Walnuts become available in September/October. Partly why the name of the villa is The Nut House!

All options are open.
Entry is at 2 p.m. and exit is at 10 a.m. to allow cleaning.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Ovacik is a small hamlet 5 km from the popular seaside village of Oludeniz set on the world renowned Turqouise Coast in one direction, and 8 km from Fethiye which is a large town sufficient to satisfy every shopping need, in the other.
Fethiye is 50 Km from Dalaman airport.

The district of Oludeniz contains several areas of natural interest, including the Nature Park in the mountains above Belcegiz, Butterfly Valley at Lykia, and the Blue Lagoon along from Oludeniz village.

There are many and varied activities in the region which include Treking (the Lycian Way begins at Babadag in Ovacik village), Paragliding, Rafting and Caoeing, Horse Riding and Ancient Sites(there is an amphitheatre in Fethiye together with several rock tombs in the overlooking hillside).
The temperatures vary from 27 degrees in May to 35 degrees in August but always with guaranteed sunshine!

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Ovacik is ideally placed for access to many local activities just a Dolamus away.
As well as the plethera of small maket shops and tavernas there are several Hotels in the area well adept at catering for the fussy palet, as well as "blow out" food. Hisafonu just 3 km away has dozens of restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world. It also has a street market every evening.
The local weekly markets of Hisaronu and Fethiye are amazing in their variety of fare and introduction to the Turkish way of life where one quickly developes friendly bartering skills.
Ther are some bigger supermarkets springing up in Fethiye for the bashful.
The beach at Oludeniz is quite refreshing, lazing on a lounger watching paragliders descending, Gullets competing to transport you around the many islands where you can enjoy deep sea swimming or simply catching the numerous spices wafting down from the seafront restaurants tempting you out of your soporific slumbers.
There is a Water Park a couple of kilometres away, although limited, it is still ideal fro younger children. Horse riding is popular. A stables run by a British couple is not too far away and close to the famous deserted village of Kaya Koy which fell into ruin after the Greek inhabitants were deported at the time of the troubles in the early part of last century.
However you may well wish to spend a lot of your time lazing on the terrace of the Nut House cooled by the mountain breeze and the welcoming pool!
