Villa Ella, Hisaronu, is quietly situated near the Babadag Mountains and Pine Forest on the outskirts of Hisaronu, but only 5 minutes to Oludeniz and 10 minutes to Fethiye on the local Dolmus bus. Set within private grounds on a small integral development, the swimming pool and gardens are shared with only four other properties.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Turkey’s south western Mediterranean Coast is often referred to as the Turquoise Coast, with an azure sea and continual panoramic views. Until the 1970s, parts of the coast could only be accessed by boat, pack horse or four wheel drive vehicles. New highways and airports have since changed all that to create an abundance of beautiful tourist resorts, although many rural villages still remain unchanged and uphold the original Turkish values and way of life.
The 1,000 kilometres of Mediterranean Coast is wild and rugged with pine trees on the steep mountain slopes. There are numerous well-known ancient ruins throughout the area dating back during Turkey’s 10,000 years of history. The Lycian Kingdom spread from Fethiye to Antalya but was taken over by Alexander the Great and then later by the Romans.
A local travel agency will help book any of the historical or cultural excursions to Pamukkale, Ephesus, Xanthos, Tlos, Saklikent, Letoon and Pinara. If all you want is fun or relaxation try watersports, jeep safari, paragliding or the 12 Island Boat Tour.

Hisaronu area
Hisaronu is situated about halfway along the scenic road between Fethiye and Oludeniz, in a valley surrounded by pine forest mountains, near Ovacik. In addition to village tranquillity, the bustling streets of Hisaronu are lined with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants that come alive in the evening. There is a good selection of vibrant venues offering a variety of entertainment and dancing. Turkish waiters and bar staff often entertain their customers with traditional dancing or possible fire eating.
The Famous Blue Lagoon at Oludeniz Beach is a conservation area and one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. Snorkelling, scuba diving, pedaloes and boating are just some of the watersports that are available, or if you feel more adventurous, try paragliding from the peak of the Babadag Mountain. After all the fun venture into one of the many restaurants or bars before returning on the Dolmus or even a taxi.
Fethiye was an old market town and fishing port that has many ancient places of interest including the Lycian City of Telmessos. Well worth visiting is the Tuesday Market that seems a never ending avenue of varied market traders. Haggle with them when buying, they will enjoy this as much as you. See the multitude of boats in the harbour and arrange a boat trip at a very reasonable price. Visit the fish market where you can pick your choice of fresh fish and have it cooked in one of the nearby restaurants with your meal.
Turkish people are very friendly and hospitable, some speak English, they will talk, laugh and joke with you and will remember your name quicker than you will theirs. Enjoy the culture!
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman Airport. Transfers by minibus to Villa Ella can be arranged for you via our local agent. Transfers by Taxi will cost much more. Car rental is available but not always essential. The local Dolmus bus is very inexpensive and versatile for getting around.

Further details indoors: This fully equipped and furnished four bedroom apartment has satellite television with DVD/CD player, football table, air conditioning, solar water heating, all cooking facilities, laundered sheets and towels, andsecurity safe, and is double glazed throughout with fitted fly screens.
The two floors total approximately 140sq metres and offer adequate space and comfort to make this the ideal family holiday home.
On the 1st floor there are two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a door to the large 30sq metre ‘L’ shaped sun terrace with tables, chairs, loungers and parasols. The lower floor also has two bedrooms, bathroom, lounge area and under stair storage and a door to outside.
Further details outdoors: The stunning views from the sun terrace overlook the pine forest mountains and Hisaronu Village that is particularly spectacular at night with all the lights shining for miles in the distance. At the rear of the property is a Pine Forest that gives off a beautiful aroma when a welcomed breeze blows in the right direction.
The swimming pool has steps at the shallow end and is 10m x 5m with a sun bathing area all round and a smaller children’s pool immediately adjacent. The pool area and gardens are accessible from either the first floor or lower floor.
Convenience shopping is only 3 minutes away where two mini supermarkets can supply all your everyday needs.
The Dolmus bus arrives every ten minutes and can take you to all the different areas such as Oludeniz, Ovacik, Fethiye and many more.

The property and location is very suitable for families and couples. Unfortunately there is no provision for wheelchair access.
Weekly cleaning and laundry service. The pool and gardens are maintained daily. Smoke detectors are fitted, fire extinguisher and first aid kit are there for safety.

(June’07) We’ve been to Hisaronu before and thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in Villa Ella, it was the best holiday home we’ve stayed in!! The location is fantastic, close enough and far enough and what a great balcony!! Every meal was great but one in particular in Kaya had the ghost town illuminated in the background. Boat trips, jeep safari, Turkish baths, Fethiye, Oludeniz so many fun memories, I can't recommend Villa Ella enough it was fantastic!! The pool was very clean and the views from the terrace were my favourite and it allowed you to watch the night life further down but not be too near for it to spoil your peace and quiet.
