About the home

The Bagadab Mountains provide the stunning backdrop and cooling breeze for our stylish villa. The villa is perfectly situated in a tranquil and peaceful location within a 15 minute stroll of numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Our villa is named 'Sakin' , this is the turkish word for tranquil which we think describes our villa perfectly in a single word!
Relax in the Olympic sized swimming pool or in the gardens. Our villa boasts the largest garden on this select development and if sun or shade is required our garden can provide!
Relax on a bean bag, chill by the pool or sunbathe on the spacious balconies. There is also a large patio area perfectly sited for alfresco dining, with a table and 6 chairs, lovely to sit and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Our villa is finished to a very high specification offering very spacious air conditioned accommodation comprising; large open plan lounge with satellite TV & DVD player, fully fitted kitchen with water cooler and dining area. The villa has 3 bedrooms, (master bedroom is en suite), a second bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs (see under facilities for further details).

A small pool bar is available for drinks and snacks during the day and there is a separate shallower pool, perfect for smaller children and toddlers.

Guests staying at the villa are welcome to use the facilities and amenities at the 4* Orka Hotel, which lies approximately 500 yards away. These include; Turkish bath, Restaurant & snack bar, evening entertainment and theme nights, cocktail and poolside bars, 3 swimming pools (1 with waterslide, and one indoor), Children’s club with mini disco and fitness centre.

Our villa has an open plan ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen,dining area and lounge with an i-pod dock, sofa bed and dual aspect patio doors which leads onto a spacious patio area. There is also a shower room for easy use after pool or sunbathing.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave etc and a spacious dining area.There is a sofa bed in the lounge for a further 2 guests if required.
A marble staircase leads to three spacious bedrooms, a master with a large balcony and en suite bathroom,two twin bedded rooms. There is also an additional bathrooom . All of the bedrooms boast pool or mountain views and ample wardrobe space.
Bedding, linen and towels are provided.

The bedrooms and the lounge/dining room all have air conditioning and the floors and worktops are constructed with high quality marble and granite.

The Mountain View complex benefits from a very high level of customer service . It has 24 hour on site security and is cleaned once every two days.

All of the above combine to create a safe,carefree holiday environment. In a villa ,that we think is a real home from home.

Sunbeds and parasols are provided at the Olympic sized main pool and separate children's pool and a small drinks bar is open daily in high season until 6pm.

Grassed areas surround the villas which is an ideal area for children to play.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Ovacik is situated on the beautiful south west Lycian coast of Turkey, also known as the ‘Turquoise Coast’ due to the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon. This coastline is home to Olu Deniz beach, one of Turkeys’ most famous and most photographed beaches. At the far end of the beach you will find the Blue Lagoon set inside a national park area – the lagoon is very sheltered with still, warm waters perfect for safe swimming and paddling for any age group – Turtles can occasionally be seen swimming in the lagoon.

Olu Deniz offers many beach side cafes and restaurants and all the usual watersports; parascending, pedaloes, banana boats and you can, if you dare, take part in tandem paragliding descending from the peak of Babadag mountains landing some 40 minutes later on the beach. Alternatively you can relax and sunbathe watching the world go by – the ultimate beach resort!

Fethiye is a lively harbour town with a lovely marina and promenade area. Every Tuesday there is a truly traditional Turkish market which is the largest of its kind in the area – a must for locals and tourists alike with its heady mix of exotic spices, teas, fruits, vegetables and of course Turkish delight. Traders come from far and wide to sell goods ranging from designer handbags and jeans to jewellery. Try your hand at haggling and grab a bargain – there are lots of restaurants and bars to sample here.

Ovacik is located between Fethiye and Hisaronu and offers a selection of restaurants and bars.

Another great place to visit is the ghost town of Kayokoy village – this is about 4 miles from the villa and costs about 6 turkish lira (£3) on the dolmus. This was once home to 3500 Greek residents who were deported in 1923. It is fascinating to see its empty streets and roofless houses. There are also numerous restaurants offering BBQ and a swim in their pool if you fancy a welcome break.

There are many places that can be visited nearby including the Dalyan beach river (home to the Loggerhead turtles), Sakilikent Gorge, the ancient city of Ephesus and the calcium mountains and spas of Pamukale, Rafting down through the mountains – you can also book boat trips and other day trips from Hisaronu or Fethiye.

The Hisaronu / Ovacik area

Our villa is situated in Ovacik – about 15 minutes easy walk to Hisaronu with plenty of bars and restaurants on the way ( or a very short Dolmus/taxi ride away).
There are many water sports in the area from hiring speedboats to diving with PADI qualified instructors.

The charming town of Hisaronu has a vast selection of restaurants – whatever your taste is you will find something here! The food is excellent and good value whatever you choose but we recommentd ‘Festival’ or ‘The Olive Tree’ for traditional Turkish fayre. The hospitality in the local area is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble!
There are also many shops selling a wide variety of goods from designer wear to traditional Turkish goods. Good fun to haggle with the shop owners – they are all very friendly. Monday is market day and well worth a visit. There is even a small funfair here for the children.

There are 2 waterparks in the area, one in Ovacik and another at Calis Beach (approximately 20 mins away by road).

Nearby to the villa there are several shops to buy provisions should you wish to self cater in the well equipped kitchen.

“fantastic area, simply a must stay” After many holidays to turkey doing the all-inclusive thing we fancied something different, this delivered. The villa is beautifully presented with everything you need for a family break. The villa is on a site with around ten others all surrounding possibly the cleanest pool we have ever been in, creating a friendly atmosphere & safe environment for the kids. It is overlooked by the stunning Babadag mountain range where if you fancy you can paraglide from down to the fantastic Olu Deniz beach. The villa is part of the Orka hotel up the road so you can either do your own thing or let them look after you, which they do very well,you also have use of the hotels amenities if you want. For the kids there is a good sized water park around 15 mins walk away plus all the usual excursion companies nearby. There are numerous restaurants & bars 15 mins walk away in Hisaronu and the food is just fantastic & not overpriced, also there are plenty of places to grab food to eat if you don't want to leave the villa. The taxi service is second to none so there is no excuse for not exploring the area, of which there are many things to do & see.

“Fantastic villa in a great location - loved it!” Stayed Sept 2011 for our 3rd time ! Still as good as the first visit - the villa is fantastic with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Beautiful quiet surroundings with large pristine pool. Plenty of restaurants & bars within a short stroll - too many to choose from ! Being able to use the facilities at Orka hotel was great, including their turkish and BBQ nights -they will even drop you the short distance home! Getting around is easy - regular dolmus, very reasonable taxis and even shuttle buses that take you to the beach on the beautiful lagoon. A fantastic place for families but also for us Senior Citizens ! Hope to come back again.

“Great place to stay...............” The villa was superb, clean, airy, modern, with everything you needed to make it a very relaxing holiday, with the knowledge that if you did need any help with any matter including guidance on the local area the staff at the Orka complex were on hand, day or night to help. Partaking in the activities and evening entertainment at Orka was fun and good value. The pool and pool area was continuously maintained to a very high standard. All the staff were friendly and very approachable. The beautiful surrounding area was easy to naviagte around with options of travel; with a brilliant taxi service that was very reasonable in price. A great all rounder holiday.
