Large bedroom with 4 poster bed, very airy and plenty of windows in main part of colonial house - plus adjacent twin room with shared bathroom.
Dragon Fly house is located just ten minutes walk from the beach at Thiranagama, just south of the popular Sri Lankan resort of Hikkaduwa, in the South West of Sri Lanka. It provides you with a very comfortable base from where to enjoy everything that the area has to offer, such as surfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing or just basking on the beach in the Sri Lankan sunshine! After watching the last of the sun dip down into the Indian Ocean, relax around an open fire with a seafood BBQ or take a stroll along the beach and sample some Hikkaduwa nightlife. Maybe youll be lucky enough to see local fishermen hauling in their catch, or later on at night, a turtle coming ashore to lay her eggs! Enjoy all the advantages that come with renting your own holiday villa in Hikkaduwa and take everything at your own pace. For the duration of your holiday in Hikkaduwa, Chamila and Kumara will be on hand to attend to your every need. They will happily arrange for you a relaxing Ayurvedic massage, fishing trips, diving trips, BBQs, lagoon safaris as well as Hikkaduwa area and Sri Lanka-wide tours. Kumara has his own tuk tuk so there is no need to walk any where if the weather is too hot. The House has four spacious double bedrooms, and one single room, three fully fitted bathrooms, there is hot and cold water through-out, there is an outdoor shower, and a large kitchen. The dining area, which is outside on the verandah seats at least 12 comfortably. On the open veranda you can hang the hammock. The beautiful mature garden has many fruit plants, banana, mango, papaya, coconut and more. Each of the beds and chairs are professionally cut and hand carved from timber grown in the village. It really is the Ideal holiday home close to the beach yet away from the busy coastal area. Located in a residential part of Kumara Kanda this charming property is ideal for outside dining or lounging whilst observing the flora and fauna of this property's very own jungle! Take a 15 minute walk to the beach or hire a scooter and go for long rides inland and discover tea plantations and lazy buffalos lying in the mud. The house is organically changing with two additional outdoor shower rooms new last season and a new jungle room under the trees (only suitable in dry season).
