Tucked away down a quiet lane within the heart of the historic Abbey town of Hexham, Northumberland, the cottage offers secluded self catering holiday accommodation to an excellent standard,(Visit England 4 Star) for two to five people + a baby.
This is a three bedroom cottage, built in 1850 and has recently been renovated to a high standard. All modern facilities are provided, including a fully equipped kitchen.
A pleasant short walk through the park takes you to Hexham town centre with local amenities, and Hexham Abbey.

The cottage is the perfect peaceful hideaway, and yet only a few minutes' walk from the centre of the lovely market town of Hexham.
The kitchen is well equipped and also has a dining area.
There is a downstairs WC.
The sitting room has a real- flame effect gas fire.
The sitting room has a SMART TV and "freesat", so guests can go out and about and catch up with favourite programmes at times to suit themselves , and we also provide access to NETFLIX so there is really no need to pack all those Thomas the Tank dvds to amuse the kids!
One bedroom has "zip'n'link" twin beds, so can provide either twin 3 foot single beds or a super-king 6 foot double,

The Sele Park is 10 metres from the cottage, with views of the Hexham Abbey and the Tyne Valley and lots of space to walk, play with the children or just relax in a beautiful setting.
A permit provided for overnight and weekend parking in a private carpark within 5 minutes' walk from the cottage.

BookThe Northern England / Northumberland region
Northumberland is Hadrian's Wall Country. Hadrian's Wall is nearby which appeals to many walkers and tourists alike.
There are the local villages of Slaley and Corbrige which are very picturesque. The coast to coast cycle route is nearby, and there are also many other local (shorter) routes. The River Tyne is only a few miles away for the fishing enthusiasts out there. Fishing licences can be obtained in Hexham.
Fancy a day a the races? Hexham Racecourse is only five minutes away by car.
For the golfers - there are both Slaley Hall and Matfen golf courses.
For a city night life or shopping experience Newcastle is easily accesssible via train ,bus or car.
The Hexham area
Hexham is an historic Abbey Town, and has a market each Saturday morning. There are many amenities in Hexham. There are local shops which are delightful to browse. There are several very pleasant cafes, restaurants and bars - all within a short walk . There are three large supermarkets nearby.
In Hexham there is a great deal for children too -
Indoor swimming pool and leisure centre.

The river is a short walk away with a canoeing club and other water sports. Keilder Forest and lake is approximately 25 miles away ,where activities such as sailing ,cycling,canoeing and trecking can be done.
The picturesque village of Corbridge is very nearby .It has many quaint and different little shops and a good selection of cafes, and country pubs.

Seal Terrace is located off the main road away from traffic noise, in the centre of Hexham, and therefore is just a short walk from shops and restaurants.
It is just one mile away from the Hexham train station, which is on the mainline between Newcastle Upon Tyne and Carlisle.
Hexham itself is approximately a 30 minute drive from Newcastle Upon Tyne and the A1.
Newcastle Airport is approximately a 20 minute drive
