The Queensland region

Hervey Bay is situated mid south east area of Queensland and is the southern most point of the Great Barrier Reef. Fraser Island is a short boat trip or small plane ride from the mainland. Between July and November is world class whale watching season, this is the time when humpback whales travel from the Antarctic North to Torres Straits to birth their calves, they then take the long journey back, on the way they stop in the bay at Hervey Bay, to rest and feed to put on fat reserves for the long trip back, this is when the whales mate and also teach the calves how to breach and stay safe near mum. Fraser Island is the largest sand Island in the World. You can 4X4 on the beach, fish and surf, camp or stay in the 4 star luxury resort. Hervey Bay marina is the stepping off point for visitors to go see the whales, there is a variety of options available, sail, take a charter boat for full or half day experience. You can choose to take an all day fishing trip or a glass bottom boat to Round Island, see turtles, fish and dolphins on the way. You may choose to shop, dine or take a day spa treatment, it's all only a short walk onto the boardwalk next door to your accommodation. Laze in your hammock on the rooftop terrace after a swim in the lap or beach pool. Have a game of tennis or take a stroll on the beach to the Esplanade, drop into Peppers Resort for a drink or leisurely's all here, do as much or as little as you want, relax and enjoy everything Hervey Bay has to offer, make fabulous memories, beautiful moments....I am here to make your Hervey Bay experience one you will never forget. Your hostess lives in-house and will assist you with information about the property, the surroundings , the variety of activities available for you to book and enjoy. You are assured your hostess will be available as much or as little as you would like.
