The South East England / Kent region
Explore the beautiful Kentish coastline with its stunning scenery and historical buildings and landmarks. The neighbouring town of Whitstable offers a working harbour with fresh fish and seafood market and boat trips out to the Forts and Wind Farm. Whitstable is most famous for its oysters and can be sampled at several of the seaside restaurants. Whitstable Oyster Festival is held annually in July.
For those more energetic there are a multitude of cycle and walking opportunities as well as water sports, golf and fishing.
The Royal St.Georges Golf Course & cinque ports of Sandwich are approx. 15 miles. With the Ports of Dover /, Folkestone, within easy driving distance, for trips across the channel to France.
The Coach House is an ideal base for touring, with train stations to London Victoria approx. 55 minutes. Herne Bay and Canterbury have a full range of shopping facilities as well as the famous Cathedral and other Historic Buildings, Theatre, and boasts excellent restaurants within the City Walls.

Once the haunt of smugglers, later a fashionable Victorian watering place Herne Bay today is an hospitable seaside town, with safe beaches and good fishing and sailing waters There is a two week colourful and vibrant festival held in the first 2 weeks of August, and remains a popular destination for sailing and watersports - and fishing enthusiasts, too, with cod, bass and skate a common catch in the bays waters.
Whitstable (6 miles from the Coach House)has been named the country's best gastro beach' by an up-market magazine which says the East Kent town is the top seaside spot for foodies, alive with theatregoers, film buffs and those enjoying a relaxing drink ...
The medieval town of Faversham is approx 20mins away,as is Margate,Ramsgate,Broadstairs. There are several golf courses within 10mins drive.
