The Western Cape region
There is so much to see and do in the Western Cape. Daytrips to Cape Town, the famous winelands of Stellenbosch and Paarl, the beautiful town of Franshoek and Cape L'Agulhas (the southern most tip of Africa) are all within a scenic 1-2 hour drive .
Watersports such as surfing ,boating ,snorkling ,diving and whale watching is right on your doorstep. For the more courageous why not go white shark diving ,an unforgettable experience and again on your doorstep.
For a relaxing day visit Caledon Spa and Casino ,its a scenic 30 minute drive away. Perfect for the whole family.
If you are a golfer there are several courses within a short distance.
Beautiful beaches stretching for many kilometres are in abundance in the Western Cape ,your choice is unlimitedt .The closest beach to you is Onrus beach and lagoon which is only 2 kilometres away.
Hermanus / Sandbaai area
There really is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of the world. As previously mentioned the house is located in a beautiful prestigious estate with numerous facilities. Within easy distances there are several really great restaurants catering to all tastes. In addition wine lovers can enjoy visiting the many wine estates in the area, an awesome day out if that's what you enjoy.
Alternatively you can choose to laze on one of the many wonderful beaches,play golf, take a nature trail, take advantage of tyhe many water sport options or just simply explore the town of Hermanus and the surrounds. Whatever you choose to do you will not be disappointed. As visitors young and old have told us before to holiday in this area truly is a holiday of a lifetime. We believe that staying in our home with its comforts and surrounds will truly add to the experience.
Hermanus is a coastal fishing town ,some 150 years old .Today it has the distinction of being one of the premier holiday destinations in South Africa. There is so much to see and do in this area. Hermanus boasts one of the best land based whale watching points in the world. People flock from all over the world to view.In September there is a Whale Festival, a wonderful experience.
There are also shark diving expeditions for the more courageous. You can go out on an organised boat expeditions and go down to view the sharks in their natural habitat, a truly amazing experience.
Restaurants are in abundance offering great choice and gourmet standards.
Beautiful beaches, water sports, spectacular nature trails, wine farms, golf courses and the general feel and atmosphere of this area all contribute to making this a stunning place to holiday for old and young and families and couples alike.
How to get there
Fly into Cape Town international Airport and travel on the N2 motorway north towards Somerset West then Hermanus. Located in the beautiful Hemel -en- Aarde Valley (translated means Heaven on Earth) , the house is 1hours drive from the airport . N.B.All of the international car hire companies are based at the airport.

Further details indoors: It has 4 bedrooms, 2 of which have 2 single beds in. The third bedroom has a double bed and the 4th and main bedroom has a queen bed and a large en suite with shower and jacuzzi bath. There is very large kitchen which leads into spacious open plan lounge. The lounge has long sliding patio doors which open out onto the patio which houses an 8 seater table and chairs. In addition there is a TV room and double garage.
