Day or night, the approach to the manor house is breathtaking. You will take the drive that guides you around the moat and towards the original ancient oak door entrance, before entering into a warm and bright dining hall for up to 7 guests.

As this is a self catering property, the warm welcoming AGA is ready for use in the modern well equipped kitchen, although visiting chefs are easily arranged for your stay. Past guests have enjoyed unforgettable reunions and celebrations, as well as smaller parties for more relaxing stays.

A utility room just off the kitchen is spacious and well-equipped.

A large and most comfortable sitting room with a selection of books, board games, DVD's and TV is the perfect place to spend an evening after a day walking the estate, or to escape a spell of bracing' Herefordshire weather! Wifi is available in each of our properties, so you can choose to check in with work....if you must!

The master bedroom is possibly the most breathtaking room in the whole manor house. Distant vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and exposed original stonework will make this a stay to remember! However, we ensure that all bathrooms are modern and efficient for your comfort.

Adjacent to the Gothic room is a neat single, perfect for younger or older members of your party.

The three bedrooms with their super kingsize beds are easily adaptable, as each can be converted to twin bedrooms and the ground floor dayroom has an ensuite shower room which can be adapted to sleep less able guests who would prefer to avoid the stairs.

This property provides a beautiful quiet space with a well stocked bookshelf and comfy chair on the first floor , overlooking the ancient courtyard.

When you're ready to explore, your stay with us gives you personal and private access to the entire estate, We have opened up approximately 6 miles of marked footpaths for you alone to explore and can organise a whole range of activities. Just ask us to find out more!

The Heart of England/Peak District

The beautiful county of Herefordshire offers over 1000 miles of predominately unspoilt (and often undiscovered) footpaths.

The magnificent 150 mile Herefordshire Trail affords spectacular views, across an ever-changing landscape from the Malvern Hills in the East to the Black Mountains in the West. The Herefordshire Trail winds through pretty churches, historic ruins, country pubs and market towns. Herefordshire is justifiably proud of its county trail. It links the five market towns of Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Kington along with some of the picturesque villages and hamlets for which Herefordshire is renowned.

Hereford

At Tyrell Manor you'll be spoilt for walks - the property is very close to the famous Offa's Dyke path, Herefordshire Black and White Village trail, Wye Valley Walk, The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Hergest Ridge (of Tubular Bells fame)!

At the Canoe hire near Hay-on-Wye you can enjoy a day canoeing down the River Wye a magical trip through the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. For those racing enthusiasts Cheltenham racecourse, Hereford, Ludlow and Chepstow are all within easy driving distance and if you really like to let your hair down we can arrange a chauffeur. The property is also only a five minute drive to either Wormsley Golf Club, which offers a challenging 18 holes with stunning views all around or Burghill Golf Club where you'll find a less strenuous game.
