The Queen Anne style dining room comfortably seats 16, and has an open fire. This means accommodating your friends and guests, who may be staying in Gamekeeper Cottage, Dancey House or Tyrell Manor in a stylish and gracious manner. Conversely, if you seek calmness, space and time to think, Tudor Courthouse makes a wonderful venue for smaller groups or couples.

A wonderful oak staircase climbs up to the fabulous naturally-lit galleried landing and reading area. This overlooks your tennis court and some beautiful ancient pastures –indeed, the very field where allegedly St George slayed the Dragon – and onwards to the Welsh Hills. The bathrooms and bedrooms - with their super-kingsize beds and Egyptian cotton linen - combine modern comfort and luxury living with genuine heritage. Remember Wordsworth stayed here many times! This is the real meaning of a country escape.

For comfy dinners in the well equipped, modern and spacious farmhouse kitchen, the four door AGA keeps you warm and makes cooking easy as pie… though it’s even easier if you choose a personal chef to cook up a storm for you while you relax in the huge wood-panelled sitting room in front of the log fire! We provide all logs and kindling for you during your stay.

All in all, a stay at Tudor Courthouse is truly magical and will leave you wanting to return year after year.

The Heart of England/Peak District

The beautiful county of Herefordshire offers over 1000 miles of predominately unspoilt (and often undiscovered) footpaths.

The magnificent 150 mile Herefordshire Trail affords spectacular views, across an ever-changing landscape from the Malvern Hills in the East to the Black Mountains in the West. The Herefordshire Trail winds through pretty churches, historic ruins, country pubs and market towns. Herefordshire is justifiably proud of its county trail. It links the five market towns of Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Kington along with some of the picturesque villages and hamlets for which Herefordshire is renowned.

Hereford

At Tudor Courthouse you'll be spoilt for walks - the property is very close to the famous Offa's Dyke path, Herefordshire Black and White Village trail, Wye Valley Walk, The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Hergest Ridge (of Tubular Bells fame)!
