Herefordshire is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is located on the Welsh borders, steeped in history with Hereford Cathedral and the renowned chained library. For the more active visitor there is hill walking nearby on the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons.
The Hereford area
In the heart of the countryside yet in close proximity of the Welsh Marches, The Black and White Village Trail and Offa's Dyke as well as the surrounding cathedral cities of Worcester and Gloucester. Visit the black and white market town of Ledbury or Hay on Wye renowned for its international reputation for its annual literary festival. Pear Tree Cottage has many excellent pubs and restaurants nearby including The England's Gate Inn, at Bodenham, The Railway Tavern at Dinmore and the renowned Three Crowns Inn at Ullingswick.
