Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Founders Cottage, a real gem, characterised by black and white external architecture synonomous with the famous black and white villages of Herefordshire and the black and white trail. Newly refurbished with a contemporary interior which is beautifully presented. Converted from a former cider barn where Symonds cider originated in 1727; later known for the famous Scrumpy Jack and Founders (the cottage namesake) ciders. This cottage has been lovingly restored with much attention to detail to preserve the wooden beamed interior and the character of the building.
This spacious cottage offers views to the garden and countryside from the bedrooms and access to a terraced courtyard garden, again with excellent quality furnishings to ensure that you have every opportunity to enjoy a thoroughly relaxing break and perfect for those alfresco evenings.
Enjoying a lovely rural location, Founders provides every opportunity for exploration through the wide variety of country and river walks. Well placed for the local golf courses, vineyards, open gardens, food and folk festivals and historic properties and also enjoying access to the local pub serving real ales and good food.
The local village of Marden is home to a large fruit farm and the Marches Way long distance footpath passes through the village heading south.
