The Heart of England / Peak District / Herefordshire region
The attractive cathedral city of Hereford itself provides plenty of material for a traveler's camera. The roots of the history of Hereford are Saxon, and fragments of the original Saxon city walls can still be seen. The Old House in Hereford is a delightful Jacobean half-timbered house built in 1621, and the St. John Medieval Museum on Widemarsh Street is a 13th century chapel and museum highlighting the history of the chivalric knightly Order of St. John.
Though these attractions are interesting, it is the Cathedral that draws most visitors to Hereford. The Cathedral was begun in the 11th century, and it contains superb Gothic architectural detail. For a bit of refreshment served with history, visit the Cider Museum and King Offa Distillery on Whitecross Road, which traces the history of traditional cider in Herefordshire in a fascinating display that features a huge 17th century beam press and a recreation of a Farm Cider House.

Hereford / Callow area
Summer and winter, over 2000 miles of footpath afford plenty of opportunities to walk throughout the year. Herefordshire is the ideal destination for garden lovers. With 23 National collections in the County, garden lovers will not be short of places to visit in Herefordshire.
Ride, canoe, fish, cycle, swing a golf club or test your skill on a mountain board, there is always plenty to do in the clean fresh air.
A visit to Herefordshire would not be complete without experiencing the taste of cider. A cider trail that takes visitors around all the cider producers in the county or a cycle route taking in a few properties.
Come and discover the delightful Black and White villages of Herefordshire, set in the beautiful and historic borderlands of England and Wales.
Festivals in the area include the famoue Hay Festival and Three Choirs Festival.

When it comes to cleaning, we only use Natural cleaning products throughout the building. Lightbulbs are energy saving and we Air dry all linen in the fresh wind from the Wye valley as much as possible, This way we feel that we do our bit for the environment.
The water in the taps are from a borehole found on Warmhearth grounds in 2007. The water has been tested good and drinkable, but for extra safety there is a filter fitted before the water comes up from the ground, 63 metres down. This way we ensure that the water is as fresh and clean as possible without any nasty stuff added. So you can easily forget the plastic bottles at home when you come to stay here.
In the autumn we underwent a major shift from Oil heating to Electric radiators and we now get the electricity from 'Good Energy', who supply renewable electricity from Wind, sun and Water.
Further details outdoors: The Barn is situated within the Grounds of The mainhouse, but is kept nice and private and facing towards open fields and public footpaths to the unspoilt Countryside.
