The Coastal Montenegro region

Montenegro is located in South-Eastern Europe sharing borders with Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania and the Adriatic Sea (Figure 1). The climate is Mediterranean on the coast with average temperatures of 27ºC and alpine conditions prevailing in the mountains.

The Boka Kotorska is a large twisting bay in the South West of Montenegro and is lined with a number of towns and urban developments along its coastline. Boka Bay is one of the most beautiful places on the Adriatic. This part of Montenegro is full of diversity. You can enjoy sea, sun, beaches, high mountains. Whether you prefer active holiday or you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you.

Herceg Novi

The relative size and diverse nature of the area offers the traveller the opportunity to make every day a new experience. Get away from it all and spend a day hiking in the mountains and in the evening relax in an atmospheric restaurant by the coast. Or, sail round Boka Bay and barbeque on a secluded beach in the evening as the sun goes down. Such is the life in Herceg Novi and the surrounding regions.

Slightly further along the coast from Herceg novi lies the medieval town of Kotor, a UNESCO world heritage site. Kotor was first settled during Roman times and fortified since the middle ages when the native language was Dalmatian. Now the town is a magnet for cruise liners and tourists from all over the world can be seen negotiating its narrow marble paved streets and relaxing in laid-back coffee shops and restaurants.

A ten-minute car ride will take you from Kotor to the old naval port of Tivat, now home to the glitz of Porto Montenegro, one of the premier Yachting destinations of the Adriatic.

We guarantee you will not feel indifferent to Montenegro, prepare to be surprised and inspired and make us your base to explore Europe's newest countr
