The village of Old Hersonisos, located within a small distance to the south was built due to the fear of the pirates, that forced the inhabitants of the village to move inland.

Near Old Hersonisos there are two picturesque small villages, Piskopiano and Koutouloufari, overlooking the busy resort of Limin , Hersonissos. The harbour of Hersonisos is famous for its night life as there are many bars, restaurants and tavernas next to the beach. How to get there
From the airport of Heraklion follow the signs to the city of Agios Nikolaos. Then you will find yourself on the national road. Travel on the highway towards Hersonissos ,take exit at sign for Golf or Port of Hersonissos. At junction turn right (towards Golf) continue on the road for 1km and you will see the sign for Village Heights Golf Resort. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:By bus to Hersonissos and then by taxi to the resort or Taxi from the airport direct to resort.

Further details outdoors: At The Village Heights are three swimming pool areas, including a superb infinity style pool - what could be more relaxing than swimming in never ending gentle blue waters? For those of you wishing to be pampered there is a Spa/Health Club on site, with sauna and jacuzzi's, a gym and aerobics, and massage therapy for the less energetic. The Spa has its own indoor Hydrotherapy Pool where the cares of every day will simply float away.
The Village Heights boasts two restaurants. The main restaurant will host many of our entertainment nights, and on the top floor we will offer elegant dining with magnificent views in our a la carte gourmet restaurant.
If golf is your passion, then remember to bring your clubs as there is a 18 hole PGA designed golf course right next door. Our Club Office will be happy to book a tee-off time for you and golf clubs and buggies can be hired.
There is a mini market and a variety of gift shops on the complex.
