Jasmine is ground floor apartment provides one double bedroom, with double bed, wet room and kitchen area with fridge and small oven and all equipment necessary for a self catering holiday. The lounge area has a sofa bed with private patio overlooking orange groves and a private rear courtyard with views to the beautiful local church.Mandarin Grove benefits from having an english service manager in the village who is very knowledgeable about the area and will be willing to help you enjoy your stay.

Mandarin Grove is a small private complex of only 8 properties, the stunning location and views make it an ideal holiday for those not wishing to move far from the comfort of their holiday home. The village provides many tavernas serving good local food, the beach is only 3 kms away providing a relaxing holiday atmosphere, for those wishing to sightsee the island then a car is essential (can be arranged) with many towns and cities well worth a visit.

The complex is situated between two orange groves, above a small park in a private position ideal for those who prefer privacy in a central location.

With good local tavernas, glorious scenery and small but delightful resorts close by it is perfect for those wishing to combine a relaxing/active holiday.

“useful homebase” Crete was great fun and very hospitable. Our unit was off the main road west of Heraklion in Fodele, a small village and close to a pleasant beach five minutes away. A car is needed for access to anywhere else otherwise you'd be stuck there by the pool. About an hour's drive from Knossos; two hours maybe to Chania; forty minutes to the airport. Small pool at a multi-unit site but good for refreshment. Unit was straightforward and had a welcome heat pump; bathroom was a little cramped. Bed was flat and hard but we slept alright. The site manager and his partner were ever ready to go out of their ways to help, advise and make you feel welcome. Village had several restaurants; food was filling rather than cuisine. We loved the sun and cloudless skies, dry heat; easy swimming at the beach; as well as enjoyed the novelty of the background noises of church bells, donkey, peacock, goats and chickens. Village's Dickensian refuse removal, combined with the inadequacies of local sewage pipes, was a surprise. Avoid the cats, they had fleas.
