The lounge area has a sofa bed with private patio overlooking orange groves and a private rear courtyard with views to the beautiful local church.Mandarin Grove benefits from having an english service manager on site who is very knowledgeable about the area and will be willing to help you enjoy your stay.

The Crete region

Heraklion is the capital of Crete, with the air and ferry port providing easy transport to the from other islands as well as the UK. The places of interest include archeological sites at Knossos,Phaistos,Gortys and many other places the Venetian castle in Rethymno, the Samaria Gorge.The people of Crete are rightly proud of their glorious past and the rich culture which makes this island unique in modern times. the island is a wonderful mix of history, the scenery glorious and the welcome most warm!

Reputed to be the birthplace of El Greco Fodele has a museum dedicated to the artist and it attracts tourists from all over the world. For those wishing to explore the mountainous regions and the wild life, it is all on your doorstep with the fantastic terrain a stroll away.

Crete is the largest Greek island, a wealth of history, great food , beautiful beaches and small resorts. The island is easily reached by air with many airlines from the UK, including BA, GB airways , Nordic , First choice, Monarch, Republic, Britannia, My Travel, Flightline. The nearest airport is Heraklion only 20 mins from the village.

The village provides many tavernas serving good local food, the beach is only 3 kms away providing a relaxing holiday atmosphere, for those wishing to sightsee the island then a car is essential (can be arranged) with many towns and cities well worth a visit.
