The West Country region
Formerly St. Corantyn, lies to the east of Gunwalloe, between Mawgan and Mullion. It forms a perpetual curacy with Gunwalloe. The church has a fine Norman doorway, and some curious carvings. There is an old cross in the churchyard. The interesting Mansions of Bochym and Bonythorn, formerly occupied by the families of those names, are situated in this parish.
Our closest beach is Poldhu, which is a National Trust property, it is just 1.5 miles away. The beach cafe serves food, a great range of drinks, snacks and sells beach equipment with body and surfboards to hire along with wetsuit hire. Visit www.poldhu.net
