About the home

Nanplough is a great hub to explore the whole of the Lizard Peninsula with its endless coves and beautiful cornish villages. Near by are Poldhu Cove, Mullion Cove, Church Cove and Gunwallow. With the excellent road network, many places further afield are also within easy reach including St. Ives and even the Eden project is less than an hours drive.

CURY
Formerly St. Corantyn, lies to the east of Gunwalloe, between Mawgan and Mullion. It forms a perpetual curacy with Gunwalloe. The church has a fine Norman doorway, and some curious carvings. There is an old cross in the churchyard. The interesting Mansions of Bochym and Bonythorn, formerly occupied by the families of those names, are situated in this parish.

Our closest beach is Poldhu, which is a National Trust property, it is just 1.5 miles away. The beach cafe serves food, a great range of drinks, snacks and sells beach equipment with body and surfboards to hire along with wetsuit hire. Visit www.poldhu.net

Very close by are Cadgwith, Mullion Cove, Church Cove, Gunwallow, Porthleven, the Trelowarren Estate, Falmouth, Penzance, Marazion and St. Ives

BY CAR
Leave the A30 and join the A39 through Truro and then A394 towards Helston.
At Helston, follow signs for the Lizard. Once passed RNAS Culdrose, carry straight on across the roundabout, take the first turning on the right which is signposted Cury and Poldhu. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles through Nantithet and when the road takes a sharp right bend (as you arrive at Cury), you will see the sign for Nanplough Cottages almost infront of you between two cottages (one yellow, one white). Proceed down this lane to the main house.
