Helsinki

Eira district is in the southernmost tip of Helsinki by the waterfront. Eira was designed and built in 1900-1915 and it represents the height of the Art Nouveau-style of residential architecture. The area has quiet streets, leafy parks and it is bordered by a seaside walkway in front of a sailboat marina, beach and walking trails. Excellent bus and tram lines connect the area with the Helsinki Central Bus Terminal, Railway Station, Stockmann Department Store, museums and art galleries and more. The area has gourmet cafes and delis, bakeries, boutiques for antiques, designer clothing and furniture, as well as restaurants ranging from sushi bars to French brasseries.
