Peacefully positioned in the quaint village of Mytholmroyd, near Hebden Bridge, Ted's House offers charming and comfortable accommodation for four guests and one pet. Formerly the childhood home of the late poet laureate Ted Hughes, the cottage is an ideal destination for those seeking tranquillity and inspiration, both of which can be drawn from the scenic surrounding areas. Furnished and decorated to a high standard throughout, the accommodation is spread over three floors, with a cosy lounge, separate kitchen and a small cellar (ideal for the storage of bikes etc) situated on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a cloakroom, a luxurious house bathroom with roll top bath and a master double bedroom complete with en suite shower room. The second floor benefits from a homely second bedroom with twin beds and a well appointed desk (this room was also Ted's childhood bedroom!).

Hebden Bridge

Ted's House is positioned in the peaceful and picturesque village of Mytholmroyd, near Hebden Bridge. Boasting a number of local amenities including a bookshop, bistro, pub, post office, supermarket and an excellent community and leisure centre. The nearby town of Hebden Bridge also has plenty to offer those visiting the area by way of tea rooms, art galleries, local shops, restaurants, pubs and even a small cinema, and is famous for attracting writers, musicians and artists with its creative and lively atmosphere. The popular Bronte town of Haworth is also located within driving distance, where visitors can enjoy a trip to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and discover the sights and landscapes which influenced the famous Bronte sisters' literary works.
