House | 8 bedrooms | sleeps 18
Pinewood Manor is situated on a secluded ten acre estate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The Manor boasts six bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 12 with a master bedroom with kingsize bed and large cot/toddler bed with en suite shower room and dressing room, three further double bedrooms with king size beds (two of which have their own sinks) and two twin bedrooms. Up to two additional single beds can be placed in the master suite, as required to accommodate an additional 2 children. As well as the en suite to the master there are two house bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom. There is additional accommodation in the cottage immediately adjacent to the house where there is a double bed on the ground floor with two additional single beds on the mezzanine above. The cottage has its own shower room and toilet. The house and cottage together can therefore accommodate up to 18 adults and children, plus cots.
The Manor boasts exclusive use of a stunning indoor heated swimming pool and relaxation area with views to die for, which runs all year round except for the first 6 weeks of every calendar year when we carry out routine maintenance to the pool house.
Living accommodation at the Manor comprises a large light and airy living kitchen with 4 oven Aga, a large family room and sitting room with televisions and DVD players in each. The family room is extremely well equipped with games and toys for children of all ages. There is a separate utility area with washing machine and tumble drier for the use of guests. The house has wi-fi internet access, although the mobile phone signal is unreliable here.
Pinewood manor sits in two acres of garden and there is access to a further 8 acre field, leading down to the River Burn at the bottom of the valley.
The owners pride themselves on their hospitality, and with a superb welcome basket on arrival prepare to feel pampered from the word go! Tesco and Sainsbury's both deliver here, or if you want to drive out there is a Co-op 4 miles away in Masham and Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Booths in Ripon (20 minutes drive).
Pinewood Manor is perfect as a base for walking and cycling holidays. The Pinewood Estate is a small 10 acre estate on a sloping site on the southern side of the Colsterdale Valley. As well as having use of the two acre garden guests at the Manor are free to walk in the field and down to the river, and in the area surrounding the ghyll. There is plenty of wildlife to spot, from rabbits and pheasant to stoats and the occasional deer. A short walk up the road takes you to the Leeds Pals memorial site, now home only to nesting curlews and lapwings in season. Those who like fishing can buy a day or weekly pass to fish on the nearby Leighton Reservoir. There is a tennis club and an idyllic nine-hole golf course in nearby Masham. There is a plethora of attractions locally of which visitors to the area can take advantage, a number of which (but by no means all) are detailed on the location page of this ad. For those who wish to stay closer to home take advantage of real fires and cosy nights in with a glass of wine (or two!).
For those organising a special celebration we are able to offer a choice of either Thai or more traditional private dining at the house packages at the house, provided by our own chefs. We can also arrange pamper packages including facials, massage, manicure (including Shellac) and pedicure, all carried out in the comfort of the pool hall. Further details and pricing can be provided on request.
We regret no pets are allowed due to the livestock on the estate.

Situated in the Colsterdale valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the Pinewood Manor estate is stunningly located.
The Cottage is situated in a rural area 4 miles west of the market town of Masham, which boasts two breweries, two traditional sweet shops, plus a twice-weekly outdoor market and plenty of pubs and eateries.
Closer to home the Black Swan at Fearby is only a mile and a half away and serves good 'gastro pub' type food. If you are looking for fine dining, then the Swinton Park Hotel is only two minutes up the road and has a first class restaurant. It also boasts a spa, cookery school, falconry centre and horse riding facilities. If you fancy catching your own dinner the Leighton Reservoir is only over the other side of the hill and day passes for fishing are available.

"Best HOliday in a long time"
The house was completely understated and much larger then the the photos. The furniture and kid friendly environment was superb with space and toys to keep the kids occupied for hours on end. The Pool was super and warm, and clean and a dream to use on a daily basis. The Owners are friendly and amazing people. Waiting to come back again asap.
