The Headford area

Headford is ideally located for touring the West of Ireland. It is fortunate in it’s location, just 25 kilometres from Galway City and practically on the shores of the beautiful Lough Corrib. It has a huge range of activities for holidaymakers to enjoy.

There are excellent links and parkland golf courses within easy reach of Headford. The Angler can enjoy fishing on Lough Corrib and Lough Mask which are abundant with Salmon and Trout. Horse riding and trekking is another popular way to unwind in nearby Connemara.

There are walking trails to suit all tastes both around Galway city and in the countryside. Hill walkers will find many fine routes in Connemara and the Twelve Bens.
