The Cottage has just been awarded (May 2014) with a "TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence" This prestigious award recognizes holiday homes that consistently earn top ratings from TripAdvisor travellers.

Fuzzy Duck Cottage is a pretty traditional cottage, approximately 115 years old, situated in the centre of the thriving village of Heacham. Within close walking distance of all the village amenities and a 15 minute walk to the beach, the cottage provides an ideal base for a holiday in North Norfolk. The accommodation has been carefully refurbished to a very high standard throughout. Real fire ideal for cosy nights in. Both TVs include DVD players, plus a Wii games console. A selection of videos are also available, plus a number of board games. Large enclosed rear garden with BBQ. The cottage is always spotlessly clean & a generous welcome pack greets all guests. Two adult bikes also provided.

Walking distance from 3 pubs that all serve good food, 2 traditional butchers, one off licence & Fish and Chip Shop. For lovers of continental food, the village also offers an Indian & Chinese Restaurant. Heacham also offers a Tesco Express & small Co-op store for your everyday essentials. Hunstanton (5 min drive) has "full-blown" Tesco/Sainsburys.

For those that like the finer things in life, we are a stones throw from Bradfield's - probably one of the areas very best shops, selling everything from Hardware, kitchen ware to beautiful & unusual furniture - well worth a visit!

For golfers there's a number of fine golf courses within close proximity, including Heacham Manor.

For those that love wild life, its not unusual to see seals swimming from the beach, with seal trips also available in nearby Blakeney. Heacham is also ideally suited for bird watching being only a short distance from a number of brilliant nature reserves (Titchwell/Snettisham). There are 3 sets of binoculars in cottage.

For those with younger children/teenagers there's the funfair at Hunstanton.

Hopefully our reviews of the cottage speak for themselves!

If we've missed anything in the above, we are only too happy to answer any question or provide additional photos. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Although the cottage sleeps 5, we are happy to discuss small discounts for couples only wishing to use one bedroom in the off peak seasons. Please inquire.

"Fantastic place to stay"

We have just had a wonderful week at the Fuzzy Duck Cottage. The cottage is fantastic, a real home from home and it is clear the owners take real pride in it. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. The village is lovely, with plenty of local amenities. We walked to the beach most days, it is a little way from the cottage but it's a pleasant walk so you don't notice it too much. The village is a great base for visiting some of the local attractions. Would love to visit Fuzzy Duck again in the future.

"A beautiful clean and comfortable cottage"

Fuzzy Duck Cottage is the nicest holiday cottage we have rented. It is so homely and comfortable and made our holiday to Norfolk. There is plenty to do near Heacham too. Our children loved the local beaches and we especially enjoyed the seal trip to Blakeney Point. We will definitely be visiting Fuzzy Duck again in the future. The owners gave us lots of helpful information and we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. We much appreciated the courtesy call too :)

Thank you so much for the lovely comments and also the kind email you sent. This is really our first full year of letting the cottage and we are delighted with the great feed back we've been getting. Regards Dave and Helen.

"Fab Place to be"

Was so delighted to have stayed at the Fuzzy Duck Cottage and what a lovely surprised to be greeted by a hamper and a very clean and charming place. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay and just adored being there. Lyndsay and myself would very much like to come back for another vacation sometime soon and Fuzzy Duck would be an ideal place to stay. Heachum is a nice charming village and you are only a short time away from the beach at Old Hunstanton and the coastal road/paths. We would highly recommend Fuzzy Duck to anyone and we had a fantastic time. The weather was perfect too.

"Fabulous cottage!"

A wonderful cottage, in an extremely convenient location to tour and explore Norfolk. However if you'd prefer to stay in Heacham the village has everything and the beaches are beautiful. The cottage itself was excellent and had absolutely everything we needed from beds to garlic grater! The selection of games, books and dvds were great and appropriate to our group. With a great garden we enjoyed hours listening to the birds, having a bbq and lounging in the sun. To have use of the log fire in the living room was such a treat. The bedrooms were all lovely, with my 3 yr old particularly enjoying her bedroom. Having the portable baby gates were extremely helpful.
To sum it up... this cottage is wonderful and great value for money, we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking in the area.

"A perfect holiday cottage!"

We stayed at Fuzzy Duck Cottage for the half-term week in May 2014; myself, two children and my parents. This beautiful cottage was plenty big enough for the five of us and was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. Little details and homely touches made for a very comfortable stay. The weather wasn't brilliant for us unfortunately, but we did get some sunshine for which the garden was a welcome suntrap. On the colder days, we lit a cosy fire in the evenings, which was home from home for us. Heacham has all that you could need from a village, including a small supermarket and an Indian restaurant. The beach was not far to walk to either. I would highly recommend Fuzzy Duck Cottage for a holiday stay in North Norfolk; thank you to the owners for putting such care and thought into this property.
