Wifi is provided free of charge to all our guests so you can keep up with your emails if needs be.
We also have a laundry room available for your use, with washing machine and tumble dryer. Hopefully you won't have to spend your holiday doing laundry, but if the need does arise, the facilities are there for you.
The environment is important to us so to be as green as possible at Gwithian Holidays we have recently had PV panels fitted to our roof to ensure we get the most from Cornwall's most famous natural resource – the sun! We use environmentally friendly cleaning products, recycle as much as possible and provide you with compost crocks in the suites. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy your holidays, but hopefully minimise the impact on the environment at the same time.

Gwithian Holidays is situated in the centre of Gwithian village surrounded by a gorgeous old church, a restored Methodist chapel, picturesque cottages and plenty of fields. Within easy walking distance is a popular pub, the Red River Inn and three beach cafes all selling reasonably priced meals.
The beach is just a few minutes walk away and seems to be where most of our guests spend a lot of their time. Access to Gwithian Beach ( part of a 3 mile stretch of golden sands forming St.Ives Bay ) is via a footpath from the village or a short drive to a beachside car park. Godrevy Lighthouse, just off the beach with its colony of Seals is a 20 minute walk from Gwithian Holidays.
Just a few miles inland is the town of Hayle which offers a good choice of pubs and places to eat and a few miles further lies the popular harbour town of St Ives with its countless cafes, bars and restaurants.
Hayle has a choice of supermarkets ( Co-op, Lidl, M&S ) and the excellent Trevaskis Farm is a great place to do your shopping. Surfing tuition and cycle hire can be arranged at discounted rates for our guests.
Paradise Park nearby is a popular attraction where you can feed the penguins or watch the daily flying display of many exotic birds. Stay with us and make this a holiday to remember.

The Cornwall region
Cornwall has been one of the most popular holiday destinations in Englandfor a long time. As a result there is a flourishing tourist industry providing a wide range of accommodation options including camp sites, caravan parks and cornish holiday cottages to luxury hotels, bed & breakfast and guest houses.
Because of its isolated position, Cornwall has maintained much of its own identity in traditions and culture. It also possesses distinctive physical features in its peninsular form, long jagged coastline, granite moorlands and temperate climate. Despite a past history of mining, over a century of growth as a holiday destination and some more recent development of manufacturing industry, Cornwall remains essentially rural in character and unspoilt in nature. Many Rosamunde Pilcher books are filmed locally.
Gwithian Holidays is in the seaside village of Gwithian that is close to the towns of Hayle, St Ives and Portreath. The accommodation is a short walk from Gwithian Beach and the three mile stretch of golden sand that makes up St Ives Bay.
Gwithian has a 15th Century Church, thatched cottages and and popular pub that serves excellent lunches and evening meals. Nearby is a local nature reserve which makes an excellent starting point for beach or clifftop walks and the popular National Trust area of Godrevy Point.
Hayle, our nearest town, has a choice of supermarkets and restaurants together with Tourist attractions. St.Ives with its narrow streets and busy harbour can be reached by car, bus and by a beautiful cliff-top train journey.
Surfing is now a popular pastime on the local beach so why not have a surfing lesson with Gwithian Academy of Surfing. Surfboard and wetsuit rental is also available and guests are offered a 20% discount there.
Within a short drive is the open air Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount and theTate Gallery in St.Ives. Paradise Park in Hayle with its popular daily feeding of birds and animals and the RSPB Site at Hayle causeway are very close by. The Eden Project in St.Austell is now a world wide renowned attraction and well worth a visit.
This is a wonderful part of Cornwall and the perfect area to base your Cornish holiday.

"The place to stay for great accommodation, great people, and great waves !"
Always guaranteed a great time here. The apartments have every modern convenience you will need - Wi-Fi etc. The location is fantastic with easy access to the beaches at Gwithian / Godrevy, and the nearby town of Hayle is only a 5 minute drive. If you are looking to give surfing a try, then there is probably no better location in North Cornwall, and the beach breaks are ideal for beginners. The nearby Gwithian academy of surfing will get you up and surfing in no time.Everyone at the academy will go out of their way to help you progress during your first lessons, and you will soon be hooked ! This is now our our sixth visit and can't recommend it enough !
Thank you for the comments, we really appreciate them and we are stoked that you enjoy coming here. Tyson

"A brill time was had by all!!!"
The location from a personal point of view is great. A small quiet village with a pub down the road, a country church and a host of other locations are within easy driving distance. Gwithian beach is a short walk away either across the dunes or very easily accessible from near The Sandsifter (although people may perfer to take their car here. The Snadsifter is also the location of Gwithian Academy of Surf. The accomodation is excellent with a variety of different suites available for the various requirements of visitors. Tyson, Ruth and Finn are always very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them so as to make your stay a pleasurable one. Gwithan Holidays highly recommended.
Thanks guys, we really appreciate you taking the time to give us your comments. See you soon. Tyson, Ruth and Finn
