A perfect location for the use of the local River Wye (300m away) – fishing and canoeing (Local fishing licence from £5 per day)
Upstairs: A large spacious bedroom with a wonderful vaulted ceiling with a wealth of exposed beams; with a king size bed, a flat screen television, an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top slipper bath.
Downstairs: A lounge area with a leather chesterfield sofa, with log wood burner (please supply your own logs & kindling), flat screen television, DVD, CD player (with MP3 playback), books to browse, a kitchen area with AGA, Belfast sink, fridge/freezer and dining table.

A single bed can be provided in the bedroom (by prior arrangement and extra £15) and/or bring your own travel cot.

1.5 miles to Hay-on-Wye which for the evening, offers many pubs for drink and food, a fantastic Indian restaurant and takeaways; and for the day time, various galleries, an ice-cream parlour, wonderful award winning cafes / teashops, antique markets and several quaint boutiques to browse around, as well as, of course, no shortage of bookshops!

For book lovers, Hay offers nearly 30 various bookshops, selling both new and second-hand books, and is a haven for anyone interested in literature. It is renowned for the Hay Festival which offers a range of lectures given by a wide variety of speakers.
Hay-on-Wye also has an abundance of antique and gift/craft shops, art galleries, restaurants and cafes.
The local countryside offers wonderful walks of varying grades - Everything from long mountain walks in the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park to valley rambles in the picturesque Wye Valley. Come and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery and take time to relax.
Local walks include the Offa’s Dyke path, Wye Valley walk, Hay Bluff in the Black Mountains (near Hay) and the Brecon Beacons (near Brecon).
This charming self-catering cottage is perfectly located only one and a half miles from the beautiful Black Mountains and market town of Hay-on-Wye, famously known for its second hand book shops and location on the glorious River Wye. The cottage is within walking distance of the stunning Wye Valley Walk and is near the Offa’s Dyke Path.
Come and relax in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside with charming country lanes and superb scenery. Spend peaceful days wandering the quaint footpaths of the Wye Valley or enjoy the more dramatic splendour of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Or simply enjoy nostalgic times browsing around the fantastic second hand bookshops in Hay.
Hay Festival is held each summer in Hay on Wye which is extremely popular and usually booked up a year or so in advance. Hay Festival 2013 is already booked. Please enquire for 2014.
