Greenbank is a large detached house, only a short level stroll to the village centre. A former Country House, bed and breakfast, this impressive house is spacious enough for larger gatherings at any time of the year but also welcoming and homely for smaller groups. The rear part of the house dates from the 17th century when it was a farmhouse, whilst later additions to the front give the property a elegant appearance.
The hallway, with stripped pine floor and oriental rug, has rooms to either side. The elegant lounge, with its' bay window, wooden floor and rug, open fire and comfortable seating can be curtained off from the rear carpeted TV room (Sky with Freeview channels and DVD) if a more intimate space is required.
The carpeted dining room comfortably seats twelve people - and has a piano for guests use and a great selection of books and games. Adjoining the dining area is a cosy, oak floored snug with two sofas.
The large kitchen is generously equipped with new, stylish free-standing units, a double sink and large range style electric cooker - perfect for catering for large numbers.
Upstairs there are seven bedrooms - three doubles with en-suite shower, basin and wc; one double with basin; one twin with en-suite shower, basin and wc and two singles, each with basin.
There are two further bathrooms, one with shower, basin and wc and one with bath, basin and wc.
The stairs, upper hallways and bedrooms all have fitted carpets and are simply styled, providing a good background for the interesting pictures and wall hangings.
There is a large boot room with radiator, tiled floor, and lots of space for your walking gear and suitcases, has an additional shower room with wc. There is a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and freezer.
Outside there is off road parking for 6 cars and a pretty enclosed garden to the front with outdoor seating, tables and BBQ.
