The Old School House is a listed property and was the home of the headmaster of the old Grammar school next door which is now a museum. It has to be one of the grandest houses in the village. Used predominately as an elegant B&B it has been opened up for self catering guests for selected weeks.

The rather special porch leads into a large hallway with plenty of space for coats and boots. To the left there is a spacious lounge with leather settees, flatscreen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD. This attractive room has a woodburning stove and elegant floor to ceiling windows. The owners have provided a large selection of games and DVDS. To the rear of the house there is a second cosy snug with slate floor, open fire and flatscreen TV. Across the main hallway there is a very large dining room with a substantial oak table, comfortably seating 10 people. This elegant room benefits from armchairs and electric stove. The kitchen is to the rear of the property and is set up for catering with a large double oven with 8 gas burner, dishwasher and large fridge /freezer. There is a washing machine.

Upstairs there are 5 beautiful bedrooms. The owners have skillfully combined quality fabrics and furnishing creating stylish and relaxing bedrooms. There are 3 kingsized, double bedrooms (2 with ensuite shower, basin and wc). One twin with ensuite shower, basin and WC. The final room has a zip linked bed which can be made up as requested. There is a spacious shower room with shower, basin and wc. and an additional wc.

Outside there is ample parking for 5 cars. As well as the gravel drive with hedged flower beds to the front of the house there is a large secluded lawned garden (perfect for children to play) There is plenty of furniture to enable guests to enjoy this sunny garden in in the heart of the village. There is a secure garage for storing bikes.
