This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.
The market town of Hawes offers visitors a great selection of attractions as well as a market and many independent shops and cafes. The town is home to the Wensleydale Creamery which has a visitor centre, restaurant and specialist cheese shop. Hawes is also home to the Dales Countryside Museum which tells the Dales story from prehistoric times through till the present day. The area is known for crafts and pottery and many local tradesmen offer workshops alongside their goods.
